Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

No notice just says you can’t use your balcony 9-5 and close curtains. I am sorry that is NOT acceptable. How can you relax or sleep with men on your balcony?😳 I’m in the room 1:30-5p most days.

Ugh I hope I don’t get one . 1st I get walked from BWI to CR and now I don’t get to sit on my balcony.

This trip just is going from bad to worse……😤

Oh well I bet we have fun anyways lol! 🎉😀 What else can go wrong? Oh the monorail broke down …. I dont want THAT either. 😅

So it sounds like a CM will call you a week or two before your stay. What is the point of this call - just to make you feel special?? Is there anything you have requested or found out from this call?? I’m wondering if I should have requests ready or anything. Ex, can these CMs plan to help me get extra pillows? 😊💤

Not every resort does the direct outreach in the days leading up to your stay. Some do, some don’t. But for those that do, this call is from the actual CL CMs at the resort, not Disney Signature Services or any centralized group. So it’s your direct chance to confirm arrival time, go over any allergies, noting any celebrations, or similar. If you would like extra pillows it can’t hurt to ask, although if that slips through the cracks and doesn’t happen then a quick call to housekeeping when there usually works - I’m hedging here just in case whatever note they add never gets to housekeeping down the road (Disney is sometimes not good with left hand right hand situations, no matter how it gets handled). Really it’s just a quick pleasantry but for those with serious needs like allergies, deep cleanings, etc, it can be nice to have that direct line of communication. I don’t ever need anything so I just say thank you, have a brief chat, and that’s it.

discounted price; but that meant disability access minnie vans to everywhere sometimes 2 or 3 times daily at a high cost and possible long waits since its so far away from everything;
Mears offers accessible taxis, the scooter drives up a ramp. Its the same price as a regular taxi, a lot cheaper then a MV. They call it a wheelchair van.

Edited to add the Pride Victory fits easily. I don't know about bigger scooter

I mean, I wonder how many panels are affected? But yeah. This is just getting silly with number of resorts impacted at once.

I have work meetings I need to take in the afternoons, so construction on the balcony will be an issue…

I’ve probably said this before but there are some pretty badly warped panels and failing caulking in some spots you can see from 14 and 12, and I’m sure in other spots as well.

On the plus side, it’ll probably be like when they repainted a few years ago with one or two crews and their rigs hanging over the side at a time so it’s not like they are over every room all the time. Just my speculation though.

Thanks for the reassurance.

Am I understanding correctly that they shut it down with no notice at all? My brain is tired so I may have totally missed something else about it. :)
Ok dd had the 2 bedroom suite at BC and canceled that for Bwi 2 bedroom. That was not ready so walked to 2 single rooms at CR which is now saying you may not be able to use your balcony.....

HOW freakin unlucky can one dd be?????

I keep reminding myself I have seen their itinerary and the bachelorette party girls will be busy and I hope it doesn't impact the time they planned at the resort.

ME??? Like this is just one thing after another??? :dance3: :badpc::faint::laughing::eek:

:beach: I guess I will be at the pool with a beverage vs the balcony.....:drinking1

Thinking I need to bring an insulated thermos for the pool. I wonder if I will be looked poorly upon if I request a “fill-er-up” from CL CMs?

Note to self: AFTER meetings. After.
Betty Jo at Poly was great. She’d say you re going to the pool and need this, and fill the plastic beer cup to the top with wine. 🍷😂 or 🥂

Honestly I just tell cms what I am doing and usually they help.

I am going to the pool and don’t want to come back up …. Can I have 2 or a large pour? That kind of thing.

Francisco (AKL now, formerly GF RPC and SL) would say I can come deliver more to the pool if needed.😂👍

Some cms get we are on vacation and making memories.,,..

Gosh , they do make our trips so much better🥰

AFTER meetings reminder😂

I think maybe some have recently noticed odd CL lack of availability that didn’t make sense so there was very recent speculation… but yeah, no notice. Frankly Disney is usually better with these things…I can’t really recall something similar in recent times.

Although I will say YC/BC does have some history of work with no notice. That exterior work from the last few years never had any notice and some had scaffolding and workers right up on their rooms. I frankly thought that was pretty intrusive and not well publicized.

The weird thing about the all this CL stuff is it’s not just 1 resort. I mean, we noticed GF & CR CLs missing months ago. And still no info from Disney. You know there are people who have GF booked from months ago. The whole resort has been worked on so everyone knows it’s coming. And if the reports are correct, it’s a different manager at Y & B now than it was when that exterior work was done. I think all this construction info must come from a central source & not the individual resorts. Too many similarities in all these different resorts.

This. Just received our call today from Poly for our upcoming May trip. CM was very pleasant, reiterated our Anniversary celebration and asked me a little about the people in our travel party. (DH, 2 young adult sons, & me) Very informal but we don’t have any specific needs so it was just a friendly get to know you type of call.

So what does this mean for those of us that have a CL reservation this summer? We are staying 5 nights at the Beach club CL in July. Is there a chance we will be moved to a different resort? Or maybe just a different floor other than the 5th if it's not done but still have CL? No idea what to expect now.

Until actual reports from guests start coming in, it’s hard to know. You may be offered a move to another CL if they’ve blocked off rooms for that purpose. They have in the past closed the whole CL floor. In that case, you may be moved to a regular room with no CL (& refunded the difference). A very few times, when the lounge was being worked on, they’ve moved the lounge to a suite & kept rooms open. So service was basically the same, just in a different room. Depending exactly what work is going to be done, they may be able to keep some rooms open while it happens. But to me, that is the least likely option.

CR & BWI closed CL floors as they were being remodeled. Poly & GF closed whole buildings.

There was a picture from some other fan sites floating around a few days ago.. said something about the lounge being closed & prepackaged snacks would be available on request. No idea if that was a real sign at the resort or how long that would be in effect.
