Resort Thread Disney's Club Level (CL) Thread

Yes, it’s just suites. There are two 1 BRs, two Ambassador Suites (2BR), one Presidential Suite (King Kamahameha Suite) (2BR), and the Honeymoon Suite, which isnt necessarily a suite, it’s a glorified single room. The 1BRs, King K suite, and the Honeymoon suite all connect so it’s technically possible to book them in various configurations.

They used to only be bookable by phone, but when Disney tinkered with taking suites out of the CL category and made them bookable last summer, many of the suites at various resorts now show up online.

Tonga guests have access to the Hawaii CL lounge and there is also a small/limited service lounge in the Tonga building (think very small). Tonga guests have historically had a room service menu where they can order select items from, free of charge, which is a unique attribute of the Tonga suites that you won’t see at other resorts.

Hope that helps!

that definitely does help, I will refer back to this when I win the lottery and can actually think about booking there. In the meantime I will stick with "regular" club level and hope for the AP discounts to return for this fall. We have a reservation for mid-november standard view and hope to swap for club level.

So, is Tonga the building that has the Suites? I am also curious about the Honeymoon Suite I now see listed - I don't remember seeing that before. We have stayed in the Club Level rooms in the Hawaii building a few times and once in Samoa with a great view of the pool.
FYI the honeymoon room used to be similar pricing as a lagoon view in Hawaii. Very Reasonable.

Someday it will be available to book, I keep missing it.

ah ok, I will keep an eye out for that. At the end of this month, we will be at the 500 day out mark for the 2022 edition of our regular mid-November trip. And if I could manage getting the honeymoon room for that, I would have major bonus points with my wife.

Question, I booked Yacht Club Resort Club Level/Standard View Room only over a year ago then switched to package when they became available. What happens when club level doesn't come back in time for our trip which is Sept 28-Oct 8th, our final payment is August 14th. Will they automatically put us in a standard room and reduce the amount due? will we be on 5th floor if all the other rooms are booked? I am sad that Club Level for Yacht Club won't be back in time for our trip

What is the difference between CR Atrium CL and their standard CL?
Comparing CR Atrium CL and Std CL- Atrium is on the 12th floor: Std Atrium faces Bay Lake on one side of the building, and TPV Atrium faces parking lot/MK on the other. ime TPV is usually about $50-100/night more than lake view.

Std CL are on the 14th floor with the suites, as trishadono described.

I just switched my portofino stay to club. I know I won't spend the extra in cost but the convenience of coffee won me over. My husband is usually the voice of reason and he said do it. So who am I to argue🤷‍♀️ it will be our first trip there and after 5 nights at Disney.

People have been posting WL pics all day. Now I wish I had WL instead of YC. I booked wl last week and canceled the next day. Seriously, my week has no availability except GF. Even saratoga and OKW has had no availability. I don't get it.
I stayed at Portofino bay CL in 2015 and really liked it, the only downside to that resort is the distance from the parks was quite far. My family prefers HRH CL as it’s the closest, they also like the vibe at HRH. I tried getting them to stay PBH CL for our next trip and they all vetoed me with a big fat NO! Lolol it’s a lovely resort though and I always have to go for the pizza and for the pasta restaurant (Tratoria del Porto) pasta bar is delicious!

...should probably include her on that reservation, right?

It was almost easier back when none of the CR Tower Club rooms showed up online and you had to call. Having them online has done nothing but confuse people, and especially with those old room photos.

Or I wish they would just rename them to include “Tower Club” in the room name to match the way the Atrium Club rooms are labeled - that would make things much easier for everyone, IMO.

My husband wanted the HRH lol. My 14 yo is really into this trip and he's planning it all. My husband said he's so excited let him have PB. I love the look of it. I guess we will be taking the boat.

I liked the boat. It was never crowded.

So, I just booked a CSR GDT CL room for Jan 2022.
I couldn't go in Jan 2021 (we all know why) so will be going in 2022.
Pretty excited as I have not done CL before!

I wanted to go to the Arts festival so hopefully this will work out for that.
I am a CSR fan; have stayed there a few times for a few reasons and it fits for me/us. This trip will be a solo trip.
My thanks to all here for all of the tips on the CL; it will be interesting to see how it is now in comparison to what you all have said here.
I am believing by Jan 2022 it will be back to more 'normal'.

Keep magic in your life. :earsboy:

I know WDW hasn't announced Poly CL reopening; however, I have an ambassador VP suite booked for Oct 2021. DSS had no information to give me when I called. Do we think they will have some sort of offerings for Tonga suites if they are booking them?
We’re also staying the Ambassador suite in early Nov and I’ve been wondering this as well. I’m really hoping they will as it would be so incredibly convenient with 4 kids, especially my older two that could walk over to the smaller lounge area to grab something quick when needed.

We stayed at RPR this past April and I think we got spoiled by the boats. Even on extremely crowded days during spring break, we never waited more than 10 min for one to arrive. Most of the time there was no wait and we just walked right on. The ride between the resort and City Walk was so quick! I wish we could get around as easily at Disney! ::yes::

Which would you pick?
(For reference a family of 4 with a 6 yr old and 1 yr old)

14 days starting the Saturday before Thanksgiving and leaving the following Saturday, split stay between Poly and WL (standard and nature view respectively). No club level. 9 park days.

8 days December 16-23 Wilderness Lodge Club Level. 6 park days

The price is similar between the two.

Mind if I ask, are y’all park/Orlando pros and know what you’re doing for a full 14 days?

I guess asking another way, is there any particular motivation for you with 14 vs 8 days?

The 14 days include arrival and departure days where I don’t plan anything for those days. We’ve come to love the resorts as much as the parks, so we wanted 1-2 days at each resort to relax, enjoy the amenities, disney springs. We have found it best to stick to the littlest ones schedule, so no late nights in the parks, and no park hopping this trip. 9 park days gives us enough time to do everything without rushing, considering adding time for baby swap, etc.

I have considered paring that one down to 10-11 days, just waiting to see what the flight situation looks like Thursday when Southwest releases flights.
