Disney's ART OF ANIMATION RESORT Thread

Arriving in less than 72 hours for our LM room! I still have not done online check-in; should I?

And can anyone tell me what time is the earliest bus to the parks in the morning?

Online check-in does speed up your whole arrival process. The CM won't have to enter in your info because it's been completed by you.

Early buses leave by 6:30 or so to get guests to early morning breakfast reservations.

I apologize if this has been droned on and on about, but I'm looking for recent info regarding the coffee makers.. If I wanted to bring my own coffee, what would I bring (ie. senseo pods, kcups, etc..)?

If you're in a Family Suite they use senseo pods. The LM standard rooms don't have coffee pots.

We have a family suite, Thank you! We tend to drink coffee at odd hours so it's nice to have more than whatever housekeeping gives you.

I'm curious about the refrigerator situation. I've heard that they we're replacing them in the resorts. I'm arriving in 16 days and I want to know if we'll have one in out Little Mermaid room? My son has Autism and he is very particular about having his milk, so I'm a little worried.

The Little Mermaid rooms at AoA were completed around September 9th.

Does anyone know how long it takes for the papers and luggage tags to arrive in the mail?

I made my booking a week and a half ago (I think) and I still haven't gotten them..

It depends on your arrival/reservation date. Paperwork and luggage tags arrive a couple of weeks or so before your trip.

On our first day we asked for extra pods (and sugar, shampoo and towels) from mousekeeping. We had more coffee than we could drink for the rest of our stay. I also thought about bringing my own while in planning mode, but there was no need at all. I could have used the dish-liquid-soaked sponge pieces that I left on my kitchen counter at home!

I am excited because we just booked a Lion King Suite for January! Your post made me think about the kitchenette...What would you recommend bringing? Obviously, I won't need to bring coffee but what about paper towels, s/p, plates/cups, etc.? I would love to bring a toaster oven too if you think that's allowed.

Well since our family is getting bigger and we can no longer do 2 rooms at POP we are crossing over the bridge to AoA. We are doing 2 family suites and DH says he wants to stay in the LK suites. We will be there for our anniversary in May. Which seems to now be a tradition we will do every yr. Last yr was our first yr staying on site.

I was wondering about the nemo pool. Is the kiddie splash area connected to the big pool? It looks like the jellyfish that rain water down is at the end and you can just walk into the big pool. I have LOs who can't swim but also children with a disability who can't swim and are afraid of deep water depths. So just wondering if daddy will be able to play with the girls in the big pool while me and the other kiddos play in shallow waters.

Not sure about a toaster. I would have liked one but I don't know if they're allowed. The kitchenette has paper towels, plastic cutlery, pods, paper bowls and plates, styrofoam cups, ice bucket with bag, microwave, sink, fridge, earl grey and green tea bags, coffee whitener, sugar, sweetener. Everything is replenished daily and mousekeeping answers requests for extras. There is no dish soap. I borrowed some real cutlery from landscape of flavors and mouse keeping didn't take them away (we had cleaned them). I had wipes but didn't need them. I had ordered a case of water, fruit, and a selection of cereal from garden grocer, and just picked up bottles of milk from landscape. It worked out really well for us to get a quick bite in the room before heading out for the day.

You're right. The splash area is very close to the zero entry side of the pool. We didn't use the splash area, sticking to the deeper part (only goes up to 4'11"). You'll love being able to hear the music under water and the theming is just amazing :)

Thanks, Qmom! Very helpful!!:worship::worship::worship:

I am not too sure if this has been asked and answered but does anyone know if AOA has free wifi? If yes, how reliable is it? If not, how's the 4G/LTE connection? Choppy? Solid? DH is taking an online test scheduled on Nov. 12 and we will be relying on our iPhones and iPad for schoolwork. We are staying in the Little Mermaid section. TIA!

All of WDW has free wi-fi!:)

Last year, the wi-fi was very slow at Pop when guests were returning to the resort. But during off-times (very late at night, early morning), it was adequate
