Disney's ART OF ANIMATION RESORT Thread

When I called disney they said magicbands will be shipped to AoA ready for our arrival because we're in Canada and they don't ship outside USA.
However, the MagicBand page by default has my Canadian shipping address. Does anyone who's ordered magicbands from outside know if we have to change the shipping address to the resort address (shown on the first page of this thread) or will they just know and automatically chose where to ship?
Anyone ever been able to successfully get it shipped to Canada?

You don't even need to change your address. The bands will automatically ship to AofA, even if your Canadian address is listed. We just got back from AofA last week. Our customized bands were waiting for us upon arrival.

The bands will not ship to Canada.

Last Dec we stayed at AOA in LM room.

We are staying in a studio at Wilderness Lodge Villas in 51 days! We decided to add a night to our trip a little while back. I wasn't able to rent more points for the night so I booked a night in a regular room. Even with the discount out now and a small percentage discount from Travelocity it was still going to cost me around $350 for one more night.
Hubby and I are trying to get the cost down on this trip (it's really surpassing all of our previous trips because of the high holiday pricing and paying OOP for food). Anyway we decided to switch to a value for that last night. I was just going to go with whatever was cheapest but couldn't resist the urge to try AoA!

We managed to get a small discount with a travelocity code on a Little Mermaid room, and shave over $150 off the trip budget! Our last full day is the weekend that the Christmas crowds come, so I imagine the resort will be full and busy, but it will be fun to walk around and take pictures and check everything out. Looking forward to it!!

You will love to walk around and look at the resort. Very bright and colorful compared to mods/deluxe. I think you will be there this year about the same time we were last year. It was not crowded at all up until our last day which was sat dec 22nd. Up till then eveything was quite calm. Although we were only at AOA for the first few days of our trip but we spent alot of time over there since we stayed the rest of the vacay at Pop!
Have a wonderful trip! We will be hanging out at Beach club for the last 2 weeks of the year enduring the brutal crowds!

Bldg. 10 is closer to the Bus area as well as Animation Hall. But in Bldg. 6, you can ask for a lake view.

We will be in LM and according to the map, we will be really far from everything!

We were in Bldg 6 in January and loved it. Bldg 10 would be closer to the buses, but I loved the lake view from Bldg 6. We were on the end closer to AH and the walk to the buses/food court was very short. If your view doesn't matter, I would go with 10, but if you like the lake 6 is great.

Bldg. 8 or 9 will be closest to the parking lots. You could ask for a pool view. We will also have a car and are staying there for the Royal Family 5K during the Princess Half marathon weekend. So, we'll probably ask for whatever is closest to the bus area as we'll be riding the shuttle to the run.

We have toured the resort before and the LM section is quite far from the Main Lobby and Dining area.
