....the typical games/events [like cookie decorating and scavenger hunts] for the younger set would probably not fit your group. However, there is flamingo-feeding in the morning, tasting at Jiko, and don't forget the night-vision viewing of the animals...

We finally revealed the trip to my son yesterday with a scavenger hunt. Now that the secret is out and the trip is only a month away I am going in to planning hyper drive!

We will be at AKL Jan 3 -9! Just a few days now and we are getting excited!

We are booked in an Arusha view room with bunk beds. But after reading through this forum I saw that club level rooms are guaranteed an Arusha view and about the same price. I went online and verified - for our time period a standard club level room is even a little cheaper than the room we booked that is not club level!

So, my question is - should I see if I can change my reservation to a standard club level room? Would there be any negatives to this?

That's awesome! We stayed AKL CL last May and loved it so much we are staying there again for part of our stay in July! And just FYI - we were in a bunk bed room simply by request so you never know!

Just thinking about room requests for our trip, we have 3 standard rooms booked and the lady who took my reservation via WDW just noted that we'd be better in connecting rooms as a party travelling together I'm really not sure of the layout of AKL other than what I've read/seen online, I've only been there to Jiko and Boma never stayed.

We are looking for rooms not too far from the lift to the lobby or the lobby, as a member of our party wouldn't be too great with a long walk to/from the room to the bus every day but I'm not sure we want anywhere awfully noisy. Anyone with more experience of this have any suggestions?

We just took advantage of the spring discount and switched from AoA standard to AKL. Second time traveling to WDW and first time at AKL. Any tips? We will be there from May 23-30. Very excited!
