Resort Thread Disney's ALL-STAR MUSIC Resort

Last year when I was at sports around the time it was getting done up the bar was indeed open. They changed the signage around it during that time but that was done in the morning, most likely before the bar even opened I remember walking past one day on the way out and noticing they were working on it.

We're local, but we got a cheap room at Music for my daughter's first birthday.2 days at MK in August requires a nightcap.

I read that the bar will still be open, they will also have a small selection of food items available too. Salads, sandwiches etc.. along with the drink stations :) we are staying November 1st-7th it will be our honeymoon trip! We requested a king bed, not sure what our chances are of getting one but I hope we get one. Hubby is also 6ft8 so sleeping in a twin size bed wouldnt work out so well.

I think you'll get the king if you tell them it's your honeymoon.

We honeymooned at AS Movies over Christmas, Disney's busiest time of year, and they gave us a king. They also gave us a complimentary fridge (at the time they weren't standard) because they knew it was our honeymoon.

Have a great trip!

I would call and ask them for a king and tell them it is because your husband is 6ft 8. Then when you check in ask if they were able to accomodate you with a king bed because of your husbands height. If there is one available you will get it.

For the suite with 3 little kids, what's the best location to request/ ask for. Would appreciate the closest to the bust stop. Stayed at POR and loved the preferred location with less than a 5 minute walk. Never been to the music so I'd really appreciate all the tips/details you've got for me.

Anything big like sporting events or anything else need to know about going on the week of nov 1st?

I have the same question--we'll also be in a suite with 3 little kids. I haven't done on-line check-in yet because I'm not sure which building to request.

Are the buildings next to the pool noisy? Would 2nd or 3rd floor be quieter, or too much of a pain with our double stroller?

If you want the preferred location, request Calypso. You will pay more, but you will be close to everything. I would request parking lot view because that would put you on the side opposite the main pool. That's my plan for my next visit. We stayed in Broadway. Far from everything, but very quiet.

There is an elevator in each building. It is in the middle. If your room is toward the edge of the building, it might be slightly inconvenient, but it would be worth it anyway for the little people you are traveling with to take the elevator.

Do you think we should still check in online before arrival? Im not sure if when you check in online if you are able to request certain things like that. Or would it be better for us to wait until we arrive? Or I could call the 10 days out and try doing it that way too I suppose..

If it's something that makes a big difference to the enjoyment of your stay then do no do the online check in....wait and do it when you arrive. If you do online and they do not accommodate your request it's a big deal to make the change.

All family suites are in Calypso and Jazz. Calypso is slightly closer to buses but it really isn't that much of a difference. If you look at the resort map everything, in reality, is much closer together than it appears.

You might want to ask for a room not facing the pool if your kids will be going to bed before 10pm.

I would wait till you check in. I have never had luck getting my requests when checking in online and the online check in is really for someone who doesn't care and will get through the line fast. If you get there and then request a change it holds up everyone else who just wants to get their room and go.

I do want to add that half the time I have done online check in the regular check in line was a lot shorter and would have taken less time. lol Kind of defeates the purpose. lol

Perfect :) thank you!

Having stayed at the Beach Club villas in the past with my parents, they've always had complimentary wheelchairs available ( on a first come, first served basis, of course ).

is that the case at ASMu?
