As of noon on 12/27 Disneyland is not admitting new guests. Guests who have already been in the park will be readmitted. Hotel guests and APs are exempt. DCA is open to all.

LOL -- I can't believe people still don't realize that the parks are so busy that they do fill up between xmas and New Years. Reminds me of someone by City Hall a few years ago at 10 pm complaining that it was so busy on Christmas Day that they only got 10 rides in and wanted a full refund..... :mic:

This is why they aren’t letting people in :( I’m here. It sucks. Still better than being home, but I’m feeling disappointed.
The power outage may factor into the "no new admittance", but it's more likely due to the numbers of people in the park already.

It's interesting to me that AP's are exempt. Hotel guests - of course.

Yeah, that factor makes me think that it may be related to the power outage. If people are staying onsite, they are going to the parks. If people have APs, then they don't "lose" a day by going in and finding a good chunk of the park closed. People using up their one-day tickets might be pretty upset if part of the park is unexpectedly closed (and the rest is frightfully crowded).

Just the twitter alert that they stopped selling general tickets again on 12/28 at 11:15am...damn!

I’ve had an ap and I would certainly lose a day by finding that. We live in WA. Not all ap holders are local.

And when we’ve plunked down the money to stay onsite we do take days off from the parks.

Anyway, Disney parks have phases of closure. Keeping it open to certain groups is part of the phasing.

I have an AP and live in Arizona, so I was in no way implying that all APs are locals. Don't know how you got that from my post. :confused3

What I was saying is that if I had purchased a one-park-per-day ticket with X number of days, I would certainly be very upset to find I had wasted one of my days on a park that was half-closed (and couldn't hop over to the other park without forking over more $). People might end up at guest services, demanding a refund. If I have an AP, then I would be disappointed, but I could hop over to DCA instead. I certainly wouldn't be expecting compensation because half the park was down for a single day of my AP year.

Only Signature Plus and Premier are valid this time of year, so likely not a huge number.
