Cheryl, Chris, Michelle, Katie, Shelly, and January! Just think in 26 short days we'll be able to meet up again at Disneyland!! :cool1:

I hope you are all still able to make it. I'm looking forward to it. Any of you have any ideas as to what time you'll be there, what you want to do, where you want to eat?

Maybe we should start thinking about that. At least the dinner part in case we need to make reservations...... :confused3

Anyone else able to join us for the day?? :dance3:

Well, I'll check back later. I've got some errands to run.

Yep--I'm in!

I decided to make a weekend of it and am going Fri-Sun . Some "me" time as well as "girls" time! So I will be there all day on Sat. and can meet up anytime. Beth--you're getting in sometime in the afternoon, right?

I have a Premium Pass so can go into the parks or am fine staying in DTD or whatever you gals want to do. There is the new Garden Walk area that we could check out too. They have a lot of restaurants.

Oh and great news--My Mom is doing so well that she may get to come home TOMORROW. She will probably stay with me a few days and then go back to her place.

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: .

I'll probably arrive fairly early in the day.

As far as dinner, I'm open for anything. I'm not too picky. But I'll throw out some places for everyone to think about:

Disneyland: Cafe Orleans (The food has always been good whenever I've eaten there)

DCA: Wine Country Trattoria (I've only eaten there once and it was good but not great).

Grand Californian: Storytellers Cafe (I've eaten here a few times and it's always been good).

Does anyone else have any suggestions?

I think it depends on whether we're going into the parks or not (i.e., who has a blocked pass that day). Any of those choices sound good--although I'd probably vote for DCA or GC so we can get a glass of wine or something! I haven't been to the Trattoria (but want to) and always like Storyteller's. (But bring a sweater--last time I was in there it was COLD!)

The CheeseCake Factory, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. and California Pizza Kitchen are at Garden Walk. And then there's the DTD choices too (although since we just went to HOB and Jazz Kitchen I would probably opt for something else --).

I am most definitely in as long as you all don't mind me having my 3 year old DD with me.:flower3:

Cafe Orleans or Storyteller's sounds good. I have not been to either. We will be at the parks that day so the closer the better. :)

The Wine Country Trattoria looks good...I just checked the menu. So, any of those three sound yummy!

I'm in! I can come earlier in the day, and I'm game to eat anywhere.

Would anyone like me to create a small "mouse-adventure like" quest? I can do it for a park, or DTD. It's a fun activity that might take 1 1/2 -2 hours depending on what you all decide. It would be finding things in the park/DTD based on clues, and then solving puzzles based on those answers. You could even work in teams! If you'd like to do this, please tell me what park, and what time (before the meet? during?).
Tink33 thought this would be a fun activity, so I might just have her help me write it! :goodvibes

Back to the feb meet, even though I didn't think that would work with my April trip so close as long as it doesn't get TOO far into March I may be able to swing it. Don't know if I can do more than the weekend but I think I might be able to do it. May be a little tough convincing the hubby since our 10th anniversary is in Feb and we, as yet, have not decided on anything.

Problem is we are spending a MINT on our DW trip this Nov and then we weren't really going to do much else till our April trip and then we are taking a big trip next Nov to Vegas and the Grand Canyon which kind of leaves our anniversary flat. We didn't get to do anything for our 5th cuz dh got deployed to Iraq. We had a big vegas trip bought and paid for and I had to cancel cuz he got deployed. Then we were going to renew our vows and now with these trips planned we can't do it all. So that was why I was kind of hoping for a fall trip with the girls cuz dh might not be too happy with me if I go in Feb and we don't do anything for our anni but I will try to find a way around it ;) cuz this sounds like lots o fun.

Plus mom's birthday is Feb 26 so what better reason to go! :)

I am thinking if you do it over a weekend we would come down on a Friday and spend Sat and Sunday and fly home Sunday eve.

So as soon as you firm up dates and if it works I will be able to see if we can do it.

But if it is just a weekend I think we may be able to swing it esp the farther away from April it is!

And we won't be renewing our passes till our April trip so it doesn't matter to us. We will just have to buy hoppers.

I sure hope we can swing it cuz this sounds like fun! :)

Wow---this is a really awesome idea!

I also thought this was a great idea Chris! Would Lesley be able to come and join us?

Wow---this is a really awesome idea!

I'm all for it. I thought the idea sounded so fun when MaryJo was explaining it.
Daisy, is your DD able to go with your DH for awhile so you'd really be able to have some "ladies" fun?
If you will for sure have DD, I could maybe bring my DD who is 6, and they could hang out together.

BTW, at this point, I could be there all day, if we wanted to do something earlier. I like the idea of eating somewhere we can get a reservation. I don't mind eating in the park or at DtD or somewhere else.

Cheryl, that is great news about your mom!!! I'm so happy to hear that she is doing so well. :)

I had sent out PMs and if I recall correctly, everyone has a Premium pass so we can do the parks if we want to.

And yes, I will be there sometime in the afternoon. I'm guessing around 3, but I can call you all when I get in and we can meet up then.

I'll eat anywhere. I'm picky but I can usually find something. ;)

Oh those sound good too!! I love Cheesecake Factory and CPK! They might be too crowded though on a Saturday night. Especially since they are new in the area, kwim?

And how would we all get there? :confused3 Maybe we should stick with something close to the parks, unless everyone wants to go to the Garden Walk area. I'm easy and open to whatever.

That sounds like fun!!! :yay: I wouldn't mind giving it a go. Teams would be fun so we don't have to be off on our own.

OH, ummm, but.....well....the thing is....if it's really hot, I don't know if I'm going to want to be running all over the place, kwim? So if it's super hot (I'm talking like 95 and over) I personally might have to pass.
I don't want to be a party pooper, please don't be mad, I'm just not a hot weather person. (Why did I move to Vegas??? Hmph, got me! )

So I'm not saying no, I'm saying maybe. Does that make sense?

But I really appreciate you offering to do this, and I'm sure everyone else would be into it. If there's anything at all I can do to help, I'd be happy to.

BTW, how is Lesley? We miss her here.

I'm fine with sticking with the parks too--especially if Chris does her game we won't want to get too far afield.

We should be making a PS somewhere soon though--especially since it is a Sat. nite and mid-west/East Coast schools will likely be out by then. (Shoot--even Calif. school may be out by then too).

Hi Kelly, I hope you can swing it too. We'd love for you to make it this time. I know there were a few who wanted the Fall dates but it appears not enough, and while I wish we could find dates that would be perfect for all 30-40 of us, it's not possible.

Hopefully which ever time and dates end up winning, it will work for the majority. I truly do want as many ladies as possible to make it.

I don't think January's DH is coming with her, so she'll probably have her DD with her.

I think it would be great for those of you getting there earlier to meet up. I wish I could be there all day, but Ruben works the night before and I have to let him sleep in a little bit. LOL

So we'll probably leave Vegas around 10 and arrive at DL between 3 and 4 depending on traffic. I'll call when I get there, but people better have their phones on this time! :rotfl:

Yeah, that's why I brought it up. I wasn't sure what people had in mind, but I figured we should start thinking about it so we made sure we were able to get something reserved.

Evening Ladies!

I'm jealous of the meet planning. I want to go too!!!! Of course I want to go to WDW in Oct with Chris, Jill, Lauren and Dags but I can't do that one either. *sniff* Pictures girls. Lots of pictures so I can live vicariously.

......I'll call when I get there, but people better have their phones on this time! :rotfl:

Geesh, you're so demanding Beth. Most people would just be happy that they have their phones on them. (and not at home, with their husband, in the car or in the hotel room)

You guys are going to miss me. I can tell. :rolleyes1 ;)

Geesh, you're so demanding Beth.

Yeah, but you love it.

And for what it's worth, I feel your pain!! I've got a few friends from the original ladies WDW trip, who are going back to WDW for a few days in December for the Christmas decorations, and I can't go. :(

Hey, since you can't make it in October, maybe they will bring a doll to represent you too! But instead of Barbie, I think it should be a Bratz doll. See, she's got the hat and everything!! ;)

I promise next time to remember my phone and not leave it with dh. :rotfl2: I still can't believe I forgot that at home....
