Hi Cheryl! I hope you have a great dinner with the ex.
I agree about those two at the Billy Show. Could be a disaster. I am off to wash my car, it has warmed up to about 70 here after a chilly morning and I am headed out!

Have a great day, ladies.:yay:

Pretty quiet around here! Everyone must be getting ready for Mother's Day . . . or busy running errands. I'm getting a little organized at work (and cheating by coming on here) and then heading up to L.A. I talked to the nurse a few minutes ago and she said my Mom is doing great! I tried to talk to her on the phone, but she had taken a walk this morning and promptly came back and fell asleep! LOL Oh, well, will see her in a few hours.
Hi Cheryl, that's great news about your mom. I'm sure it's a huge relief for you as well.

Your ex sounds like quite the character! ;) Enjoy your day.

Consider yourself lucky with that child, Beth. :thumbsup2
They say the "early to bed, early to rise" crowd are overall much healthier than night owls (don't know why?). Or people like me who know I should go to bed because it is time and I will be so tired in the morning, but I stay up anyway. Bad Linda. Plus, I refer to most of todays youth as the "sleeping generation". I mean these kids (teens) can sleep, sleep, sleep. All day, all night, all the time.:sad2:
We never slept that much, did we?
I have the worst sleep habits as well. Ruben works nights so I'm usually up waiting for him, but then I have to get up with the kids in the morning, so I know I don't get as much sleep as I need.
But I also know I am lucky with DS. He's a good kid. :goodvibes

I hope everyone is having a good day so far. I've spent the morning cleaning the house and doing laundry, along with the help of my 3 girls. I wanted to get it done today so I can kick back tomorrow. :thumbsup2 Now I've got to run out to the store. See ya later.

In case I miss any of you, I hope you all have a wonderful Mother's Day tomorrow!

How's everyone doing tonight?

I just wanted to wish all the mothers a Happy Mother's Day!

I just got back from two days at DLR. Friday we did DL and today we did DCA. I'll be starting that trip report soon.

I'm so tired. We rode everything minus dumbo, casey Jr, storybook canal, the rockets, and star tours. It was great to go to a hotel instead of driving home.

Steph! Is that a new tag?? I don't remember seeing it before. And it moves. Cool. :thumbsup2

I didn't notice it until, just now. Thanks Tag Fairy!!!

Happy Mothers Day to all and to all a Happy Mothers Day!!! :lovestruc

PS. I have decided to chance my personal song of " someday my prince will come to .... "someday the tag fairy will come...." sigh.... so jealous of all of you!!!

Aw, you'll get one. They seem to strike when you least expect it. ;)

Hmm well maybe I can bribe them by singing to the tune of "all I want for christmas is my two front teeth" to "All I want for Mothers Day is a Disboard tag, a Disbaord tag"..... I can keep them coming believe me!!!!

Happy Mother's Day!!:flower3:

Just got back from a long weekend at Lake Tahoe with DH, DSs and my parents. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed some outdoor time with the kids. DH and I snuck away to Reno for a date night and then Sunday took Grandma out to brunch at Squaw Valley. I couldn't have asked for a nice mother's day weekend :lovestruc

Hope you all had a great day!

Jen, you're week-end in Tahoe sounds heavenly. I love it up there.
Ruben (my DH) and I weren't going to have a honeymoon because we had a lot of out of town wedding guests and spent a lot of money showing them around SoCal, but then at the last minute we decided to spend a few days up in Tahoe.

It was so nice and I'm so glad we did. I'd love to go back sometime. :goodvibes

Our first night there, we hadn't booked a room and we drove in from Reno pretty late. We ended up at this total Bates Motel look alike and I waited in the car while he went in to book a room.

He came out and said we were in Room 1. :scared1: I thought he was kidding, but nope, Room 1 it was. :rotfl2: We still joke about that today.

The rest of the trip we stayed at some very nice places, but that first night was pretty funny. It was fun to be spontaneous and just wing it. Can't do that now with 4 kids, I've got to plan every thing out. Surprises like that and kids don't go well together. :rotfl:

Hope you all had a good week-end!!

Just a reminder, the trip poll will close on the 13th (tomorrow) so if you haven't voted yet, there is still time. Although at this point it's pretty apparent that the late Feb/early March dates are going to win.

After the poll closes though, we can start looking at actual dates within that time frame, so grab your calendars and take a peek. See what sparks your interest.

Here's a link to a 2009 calendar: http://www.timeanddate.com/calendar/index.html?year=2009&country=1

Feb. 26 thru March 2nd seems like one option. I wonder if we can check black out dates for 2009 already?

Well, I've got to get the kiddos ready for school. I'll check back later.

Deluxe is blacked out Feb. 14-15 then all Saturdays starting March 14, So. Cal. is blacked out all Saturdays and Feb. 15-16, So. Cal. Select is blacked out all Saturdays and Sundays and Feb. 16.

Thanks. I was just about to go looking for that info. :thumbsup2

So it sounds like for Deluxe we are ok with:
Feb. 19-23
Feb. 26-March 2
March 5-9

Am I right?

Those are basically our three choices, assuming end of Feb./early March continues to win in the poll?

For the SoCal passes it sounds like they are always blocked on Saturdays, so we can't do much about that. Does anyone have the SoCal pass?

If so, and they don't want to buy a black out ticket, we can look into planning a non-Disney day. That's one option.

Since I am not renewing my AP for 2009:sad: I guess any of those dates are good for me.

I'm crying along with you hon!!!

Ours expire in October and that's it for us. We need to take a break. Hotels, gas and food just are too much for 6 people each time. :sad2:

But as you said, any dates will work for me, and I'll be on the look out for some kind of park hopper deal. :thumbsup2
