Disney YES Program Open to non-groups

Just got back and my 2 oldest did the Synergy in Science class and had a ball! Some of it seemed a little over their heads, but they really enjoyed it. My DD8 has a presentation in February for class and we are going to try to incorporate some of what she learned in her assignment!

If the class does not fill up and you can not do an alternate program, your park tickets are still valid- you just don't get to do the class and that portion of the ticket is not refunded (I think YES classes are $25 each).

Unfortunately there is not other program offered during the 8 days we are there. :(

Thanks for the info.

How strict is Disney with the ages? Can you attend a class that is not for your age group? Having a hard time finding a group with my kids ages. Thanks!

Can anyone point me where it refers to their cancellation policy? I know it's generally no refunds, however I thought I remember reading somewhere in print it was at least 7 days notice?

Thanks in advance,
Heather

From my confirmation email:

Changes to your order must be made in writing via fax or email 48 hours prior to your arrival at the Will Call Window.

Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. This program is limited to Domestic U.S. groups only and orders are subject to validation before approval. Specially-priced Theme Park tickets of 10 or more, must be reserved in advance, and are valid 7 days prior to arrival until 7 days after group’s main departure date (theme park tickets only). Some activities/events at Walt Disney World® Theme Parks may be separately priced. All parks, attractions, tickets, and other items described in this website and accompanying collateral and all prices, operating hours, age requirements, and other terms for such items may be changed or discontinued without notice and without liability. The owners of the Walt Disney World Resort reserve the right to refuse admittance to any persons, and shall not be liable for non-utilization of ticket components or loss of recreational opportunities due to refurbishing, capacity, inclement weather, special events or any circumstance beyond the owner’s control.

I apologize if this has been answered but I read back a bunch of pages and couldn't find anything.

What about dining plan? If you purchase tickets through the YES program, how do you book the package that includes dining plan? or can you?

Also, can you get the tickets converted over to your KTTW or does that have to stay separate?

I'm pretty sure you can't purchase the dining plan with just getting the Yes tickets, unless you're staying on DVC points. I think you would have to at least purchase a 1 day ticket from Disney, and then obviously stay on-site, so depending on your situation, it may not be beneficial for you to purchase "yes" tickets, if you're wanting the dining plan.

Thank you.

Another "what if" question. What if the class doesn't fill up? The email says the minimum is 10, but do they really hold to that? It also says "If the minimum is not reached, you will be contacted (5) five business days in advance and rescheduled based on availability of alternate programs." But I requested they ship the tickets to me. Anyone have any experience with that?

Thanks!

They will cancel the class--I know this, to my sorrow. I'm still trying to get enough people to reinstate the February class.

Maybe I missed this somewhere, can you not purchase just the dining plan without tickets if you are staying on Disney property?

No. The dining plan is part of a package. You must stay on property AND buy your tickets as part of the package. The only exception is if you are staying on points at a DVC property.

Hmm, I wonder what happens if they cancel and you're doing will call tickets. I thought I'd save $10 but hate to miss out on the tickets altogether. We signed up for two classes. When I called they said they're website was slammed and that if we were interested in a second class we should be sure to sign up for it. This was for a class in August though.

Disneyland's on February 21st--either Animation or Physics (or better yet, both.)

Anyone know how much the YES classes cost if you don't need tickets? We already have a Disney package with tickets and dining for August. Thinking a YES class would be fun for the kids but I cannot find the class only cost anywhere.

At Disneyland, they're $15

If they've given you will call tickets, I'd imagine that they already know the class is going to go.
