You will have an amazing time! We have done this trip twice now. The wonder is amazing, the crew are excellent and really made both our trips fantastic. I still keep in contact with a few via social media. a veranda if affordable is worth its price tag - we watched whales and sea otters the whole week we were sailing in 2019. nothing better than ordering room service breakfast and taking in the scenery that is around you.
skagway is a fantastic port to explore - we did the white pass train and really enjoyed it and still had plenty of time to explore afterwards.
we went the same week in august in 2015 and 2019 and the difference in the weather was huge. The first time it rained every day bar one and was cold. The second time we had shorts and t shirts everyday with hoodies to help with the breeze on upper decks. Just take lots of layers to cover all bases.
we ate fresh crab in icy straight pointwithfreshly baked bread and Alaskan beers. It was glorious. One of the best trips we have ever had the pleasure of doing. Aaaaahh just thinking about it makes me want togo back - have a fabulous trip!
