Jackie- I was there for elementary school, the early 80s (I'm nearly 37) at Glen Carbon Elementary School where my mom actually taught too. Actually still have some family friends in Edwardsville and while I see them nearly yearly I haven't been back there for years; they were both educators in Edwardsville. Did you or DH grow up there? Wouldn't it be funny if we knew some of the same people?!?!? I'm sure people I went to school with are still there!

BTW DH (37) is Eric. He is (well, was) a good Catholic boy growing up (unil about 16 was an altar boy & all that) and while I was baptized in a Catholic church I didn't grow up with church in my life at all. Currently we aren't involved with any church. But DH is a red head (although not as much as he was years ago) so he certainly looks the part of a good Irish Catholic boy!\

Maybe one of these days I will be early enough to do FE and would buy one from you. i think last time half of why I didn't was I knew I'd never make one & had no idea I could buy one! And buy a beautiful reasonably priced one!

I sure hope I'm not posting again; I tried & think it was to long so I'll stick to the basics adn probably have a few posts. First, questions - can you confirm no formal night on the 3 day? Also what are people doing on nassau? Third (& most important) - meet up (Yeah, I've been a stalker of you guys now I can be a participant) is at the back of the boat level 7 patio, right? What time?

Questions I remember for the group & here are my answers- football yes (DH37 does fantasy & I just enjoy), baseball fans but my team is practicaly out already so it won't matter, not really Nascar fans but nothing against it, DH golfs. We do drink & probably will rent a car to drive to the port (found it much cheaper than disney transport last time and we don't feel we need the "experience" of it as this is DCL #2) and stop on the way to buy something to bring on board (vodka or rum, maybe irish whiskey for him and a bottle of wine since I'm a sept baby & will therefore be celebrating #37 on board even though it's a few weeks late). If we go this route I can certainly take orders for the liquor store (and maybe Walmart if we do carry on luggage only & want to buy sunscreen - I'll let you know). I'm not shy, ask away. I have a few comments for people so I'll send another post too. I'm at work tonight & usually Sun is slow so I may try to re read all 145 pages to keep you all straight (dis names vs. real names is hard when you are not a participant!).

I can't not believe how many kids are at the grade school with cell phones. Most of them were talking on them when I went to pick up Emma. What's worse is that like 85-90% of the children in that school are on the free or reduced meal plans. It kills me what our government dishes out as a reward for getting knocked up or just not working. There was a piece of crap "person" covered in tattoos, pants around his angles, piercings all over getting out of a sharp looking brand new Mercedes... I know there could be a lot of circumstances to explain that but I doubt it in my area. I have people come through my lines at work buying $100's of dollars of T-bones and Lobster on food stamps because oh "that's all we will eat". One lady buying her 2 year old shrimp because "that's all she would eat" the baby sitting there saying "shrimp, shrimp, shrimp".

Sorry I just had to get that off my chest. I'm faced with this kind of stuff daily and it REALLY gets to me. I'm done

Just luggage tags and basically a summary of what excursions etc. I've booked and info and the contract and some forms in the book that I need to fill out etc....

When do we get the other fun stuff? Does anyone know? Also, did anyone else get theirs?!?!??! Let's celebrate!!!!!!

I called today and they told me I should be receiving stuff with in a week. I hope I get the stuff. Everything is being sent to my friends house, she has 5 kids and it's crazy there. Does anyone know what we do if we don't get any Doc/Luggage tags. I think I really need the luggage tags.

Sorry I didn't see this post until just now. I grew up in Wood River (I was a Roxana Shell) and yes it explains my inability to read or write. lol Hubby graduated from Marquette Catholic High. Oh and no we are not the proper examples of Catholics but I am one and always will be. lol

I'd like to be more active in Edwardsville but it's hard with Emma in school in Roxana... my driveway is Edwardsville School district as well as all my neighbors but for some reason my house is Roxana. It's hard to keep her in touch with her Edwardsville friends when she's wanting to do stuff with school friends. Trust me the EVille friends are much better influences.

Okay, so I couldn't stand it... People getting their cruise docs, and I don't have mine... I also didn't check my mail today, so I had the sudden urge that I needed to go make sure they weren't in my mail box.

But, let's set the scene... I am TERRIFIED of thunder & lightning... I had already hurried both of my kids thru baths because my grandmother ingrained in me that you don't take baths during storms, but they were nasty and desperately needed to be clean before bed, so I had no choice).

Okay, so baths done, I take off down my driveway (which is about 400 feet, so I drove rather than run in the thunder & lightning). Jump out of the car, run across the street to my box, which is under a great big oak tree... As I get to my box, I swear lightning lit up the field behind my mailbox and a major crash of thunder broke. I think I came close to peeing in my pants (sorry if that is too much info). Grabbed all the mail and run back to the car... All for... No disney cruise docs!

But, all is not lost... My transfers for Magical Express from the airport to Bay Lake towers came in the mail today. Along with, another disney envelope containing a photo pass that I could pre-register for my day at disney... And, we're not done... a disney vacation club offer for the new Hawaii resort.

Oh well, maybe tomorrow...
