I am trapped in my own house!
My uncle/land lord figure has hired someone to mow my lawn for me.
I told him I had a friend that was doing it for me/ i would learn when my surgeon gave me the A-OK! but despite this he has hired this girl.
Well, I have asked him THREE TIMES to give me her number so I can call her whenever I need her instead of her just showing up (as was his original arrangement).. but here she is the SECOND TIME IN LESS THAN TWO WEEKS!
I kid you not. She was here the 3rd or the 5th (I forget which exactly) and she is here again.
I don't want to go outside because I AM NOT paying her. He can pay her.
GRRRRR.

Fully staffed our branch holds 18 employees.
Of that, 7 of us are there currently.
It's going to be the end of me!![]()
We have slots for four tellers (we're all there, thank god, even though one has given notice she will be leaving any time now and another KEEPS CALLING OFF)
Two management-- who are both there except for the fact that branch manager still doesn't have a clue how most things work![]()
Two Customer Service-- One left in May, Corporate refused to replace her. The other's last day was today. She couldn't take being expected to pick up the slack of the other girl I guess(who can blame her?)
Financial Advisor-- had surgery on her neck and has been gone a few weeks and will be out until late August.
Four bankers-- One of which is actually at work. Another fell through a dock on her vacation last week and chipped a bone in her leg? She's forced into bedrest. The newest (hired after another quit in April) failed her tests and thus can't do anything but sit there.
Which is a completely different story. The customer service girl who left back in May had originally been given this position. She missed her test by 1 point for a pass and was told she would NOT be allowed to retake the test. Even though she would have just resumed her job as CS until the 30 days to retake was up AND it was in the application they got two shots. (Main reason she left-- the way she was treated was totally unfair)
Well this new girl? She can't do anything.. she has no job to resume.. but we're paying for her to sit in training for the next month until SHE can retake the tests?!
I realize there is generally a reason behind the madness but this all seems utterly insane to me. Utterly insane! Teller transactions for last month were something like 6k and now we're answering the phones/pre-screening people to bankers/ doing customer service work, too!![]()
I've had so many customers walk out because they were being forced to wait so long.. and all because the branch is falling apart around us and corporate doesn't seem to be in too much of a rush to help! (for example, I'm not allowed to work more than 20 hours even though ALL of those people are gone from the branch)![]()
Wow, that's bad for business and bad or worse for you and your other co workers. Can you borrow staff from another branch or have a floating teller come and help ?And you thought working at BK was interesting enough
![]()
Haha, sadly enough I am the only Teller approved to float in the district-- float to OTHER branches.![]()
I work in 3. Usually my 20 in Belpre and the other 20 (with OT) shuffled between two more a half hour away.![]()
They're going to ruin things.
My new boss keeps saying "I'm capable of brining all this new business then corporate will pay attention"
and I really want to shake her and go WHAT ABOUT CUSTOMER RETENTION?
i hope you all are don well. your summer vacay and other threads must be doung well b/c most are not here.
