Jan, nope. Just something I randomly came across and was shocked at how truly small it is.
You fly off a cliff! That was definteily creepy, but welcome to WV!

Happy Fourth everyone!
We've got thunderstorms so I assume no fireworks...

Hope everyone has a great day.

With all the GREEN it is hard to see the "cliff-ness" of it. We flew off a cliff when flying out of Pittsburgh one time. Glad I did not watch that part.

Where's the picture, Patsy? Don't tell me you got tattooed with a picture of Rink! ;)

No, I didn't! haha.

It was still kinda bloody last night and I didn't really want to post that-- I'm trying to upload apic right now but I've gotta be at work in fifteen minutes sooo!! It's not moving quickly enough.

It's STILL not uploading but if it ever does this is the link:

How come you can post pictures and I can't? I don't get it.
Anyway--where is that? Ankle? arm?

Ewwwwwww...okay, I'll accept that excuse!

It looks great! I see you got the two pictures blended the way you wanted. Very nice color, too! Are you sure that's not a temporary tattoo? Just kidding!

Awesome Patsy! Did it hurt? Was it expensive? How long did it take? When can you swim with it? :lmao: (Nosy, aren't I?... not really just interested!)

Very nice!

Nice, Patsy!

I would love a tattoo, but I change my mind too often about what I like. I used to want a bird, and then I wanted a character from a comic book I liked, and then a japanese character, and now something Disney or running related.

I'm sure I'll change my mind again in approximately 10 minutes. :rotfl:

Dawn, that is exactly what my boss said! But trust me, it's real!

Lisa-- It didn't really hurt but I have a pretty high pain tolerance. It was a different type of pain I guess-- it wasn't a sharp OMG! pain, more of a dull one.
I went to the "upscale" tattoo parlor in town. A lot of my friends that have the "It won't happen to me attitude" go to the cheap places but I go to THIS place in particular because they're friends of a friend and they're very careful with everything they do. They also stick to a moral code and refuse to pierce below an age they think is approrpriate (It's 16 yrs old for belly button piercings- i know because I went to them for that, too!) and I know they have other age limits, too. They don't care if your parents are with you if THEY think it's ethically wrong, they won't do it. And I totally support that because to me it says they are looking out for their customers, not just trying to make a buck. They also have their own in-house sterilization machines.
In the end, they are definitely the most expensive place in town but I will gladly pay more for people that I know actually give a crap about the people they're tattooing.
Thus, it was the shop minimum-- $65. I don't think that is bad either.

It took about an hour from the time I got there, including how long it took him to go over everything in the beginning, for him to draw it (he had to try a few times as I was his first pineapple!), make the stencil, get the colors of ink he needed, go through all their sterilization processes and actually do the tattoo and check me out.

And no, I can't swim until it scabs over and peels. Shouldn't take too long, really. I'll be ready to hit the beach in Florida since I fly down next MONDAY!

Erica, I TOTALLY know what you mean. That was one of the biggest reasons it took me this long to get one. Then one day it just hit me-- a pineapple. It's unique, it's definitely ME and it means something to me. It's an added bonus (tho sometimes annoying) that no one seems to understand it and I get to explain and then they're like "Oh, thats really cool."

So, today was my son's 13th birthday. party: I'm laughing because I just saw a news story on all of the weddings done today. They think that there might be a world record for weddings! I also saw a news story done on the "lucky" babies born today, and I'm feeling like they're all newcomers--we've had this birthday reserved for years! My daughter's 13th birthday will be 11-11-11. It'll be interesting to see if there's a furor over that! No one even blinked at 01-01-01, 02-02-02, 03-03-03, etc.

I said to one of my patients (I was in her room helping her with her shoes when this story was on the news) that if all those couples feel they NEED good luck for a successful marriage, then they have no business getting married in the first place! :rotfl:
