Okay, so who's on that's going to tell me that it's not true this time? :confused3 :rotfl:

Well, not really. We want to do the pirate museum, and then my husband is dying to go to the straw market and haggle  and then we have a 1pm reservation for the dolphin encounter, and somewhere in there we have to eat and locate "authentic" Bahamian food for my husband. If he gets sick from it I'm leaving him in the dust.

I figure that if we don't start lining up to leave the ship until 9:45, then we have time to do goody bags. But no one answered my question  so I haven't got a clue...

The only reason why I asked is because I heard a rumor that those with scheduled excursions get off first and then the rest. I don't know if this is true but if it is then you would probably have time to join us. Let your group stand in line to get off then come join us! :rotfl:

This was on hurricanetrack.com tonight:

Taking a look out there this evening, we see a tropical low that was almost upgraded to a tropical depression yesterday. The low is currently a little over 100 miles SE of Charleston, SC and is moving slowly southwestward. The NHC says that there is still a small chance that this will become a tropical depression before conditions begin to limit its development process. Either way, this is not a big deal and the system will only spread rain and some gusty winds to coastal areas. Beach plans might get ruined in some locations but overall, this is nothing to be too concerned about. At least some needed rains are falling without the headaches of hurricane problems.

The remainder of the Atlantic is quiet as it has been for weeks now. The GFS long range model has been showing an increase in tropical storm formation for several runs in a row and yes, it even shows large systems coming towards the East and Southeast coasts. However, this is so far out in to the future that it's hardly worth considering. But- the global weather patterns are changing now in a way that should allow the Atlantic to begin its active phase of the season. Once again, it is not my job to scare people or scare up storms that do not exisit. I do wish to inform my audience that it looks as if we will see an increase in tropical cyclone development fairly soon. We have to be ready- this is the prime part of the hurricane season and it all comes down this these next several weeks. While there is little to worry about tonight, a week from tonight, that could be very different. You can bet I will be on top of it and will post regular updates here.

The east Pacific has hurricane Hector but Hector will not be a problem for land areas in Mexico, or anywhere else. I will have more here tomorrow morning including a hint about something I have coming up next week in Mississippi.

Well, I guess I'm the last one.
Again.
I have to work at 9 sooo I'm off..

Good morning to whomever comes next!

I love to lurk on this thread, y'all are just a riot! :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

So can someone give me a consensus (sp?), please? NO JACKETS (for the men)?? What about a button down long-sleeve shirt and tie? Just how dressy is everyone going to be on semi-formal (or whatever it is called) night?

Also, WAS THAT A YAY OR NAY TO BRINGING GOOD JEWELRY ON THE CRUISE? I think I only go a couple of replies on that question. I'm only talking about my engagement ring, not the Hope diamond or anything.

Oh, and I like the 9:00 am meet at Cove Cafe for goodie bags (if it's before we disembark for Nassau). :thumbsup2

No Jacket unless DH likes to dress up. Mine considers a polo dressing up so I'm going to have to work at button down and tie and be happy with that. Neither of us are into dressing nice, though.

I never take off wedding and engagement ring and have never had trouble with them slipping off in water so I'll wear them. But I rationalize that b/c my stone is small, I don't have to worry as much about these things. If its going to create any worry about losing it, I'd leave it in safe deposit box. Also, I bring one set of gold ear rings whenever I travel and don't worry about variety.

Hi everyone! :wave2: Back from a fun-filled night at open house at Conor's school! :thumbsup2

I am 5'3" and Chris is 6'2" and I am 9 years older. So...the moral of the story, go for the tall ones and ROB THAT CRADLE! :lmao:

I am 10 years older than wife :sunny:

It was looonnng. They had a dinner at 5 and we finished up at 9. You go through all the classes, meet the teachers and hear the speeches.

I feel bad for Conor, he was at school straight through, from 7 am til 9 pm. He is still sick and coughing a LOT! People were staring at us all night. :confused3

The school provided a dinner?????

I also plan on getting off the ship fairly quickly but since you just walk off and there isn't a tender involved or anything, I don't really want to queue up early, but thats me. You could always give your stuff to someone the night before and try to make it for as much of the exchange as you can. It seems to me if we meet at 9, there would be time. But its hard with a group, the more people involved, I've found, the later the start time becomes. I think I should at least be able to drop off stuff in the morning but if need to leave at 9:30 and some haven't shown up with their stuff yet, I figure I'll hookup with someone later to pick up completed goodie bags. Maybe the first thing to do is get all the names on the bags? I'm not as worried about the disembarkation making me miss the 9am exchange as needing to be eating breakfast and getting ready during that time. Guess it will depend on how organized I can be the night before.

Say, where is this coffee Cove place anyway? front/back of ship? deck? Thanks.

OK, caught up --but I do skim. I'll be taking the weekend off so if any scheduling things change I might need a PM, won't be able to make it thru hundreds of posts on Monday!

Decided to do wine tasting and get martini flight from some bar sometime. That is something fun I just learned about this morning! Do all the bars do it or just certain ones?

For those doing Atlantis via one night reservation, are you attempting to pack a lunch? I thought I read about ordering room service sandwiches and wrapping them up but this was way back. Are you allowed to take food off of ship? Do you order sandwiches for 9am delivery or do they only do breakfast so you'd better order them the night before and keep them overnight? I know I'm bringing water bottles. I think I "deserve" a fruity drink at Atlantis for planning our trip.... even if it is pricy! This is likely stupid question but, I don't have to worry about the water or ice in the Bahamas, right? It's not like Mexico.

Good morning everyone! I'm off to work, have a good day :)

wow, 200 butterfly? I couldn't get across the pool in level 3 doing the butterfly, I kept sinking. If I even tried doing it I'd sink to the bottom of the pool. *glub* glub*

haha yeah... somehow that's what i was good at. one time when i was flying out to nationals the flight attendant was talking to me, asking where i was going and what not. and when he found out what i was swimming he was like wow are you a massacist :rotfl:
needless to say i loved the event to death, i was always sad when i couldn't swim it. one summer my coach actually told me i wasn't allowed to swim butterfly until nationals. i would be having the worst meet ever until a butterfly event. so he was like that's it, no more fly till nationals. i was so mad at him. the next meet i was already signed up for it. all my friends on other teams were like holly why aren't you going up to the blocks. i was like, don told me i'm not allowed to swim it till nationals. they all thought i was so lucky, i was like right, just you wait till someone tells you you can't swim your favorite event!

You must coach this to my children! They don't seem to believe it when their parents tell them this. :confused3 :rotfl2:

haha sure... no one ever listens to something when it comes from a parent. i'm guilty of it to. but once you hear it from someone else you're like oh, it must be true!

I don't have the crush! (Not yet anyway.. :rolleyes1 )
I honestly think what you guys did is 100% okay! 26 and 32 is a lot different than 16 and 19.. just because of the stages in life we're at. In my opinion anyway. He still calls his mommy and daddy and tells them he might miss curfew and I don't even have to come home... :rotfl:

Tonight wasn't so bad, he just teased me a lot...
If I didn't work with him, I'd keep myself away but it's sooo hard because I work with him everyday.. the exact same shift it seems..

Teasing...he likes you. same shift....coincidence.....suuuuuure. ;) How sweet. :lovestruc Oh to be infatuated. *sigh*
