Are people thinking they would be giving multiple gifts over multiple days in the FE? I have always only given once during the cruise. I usually have a goodie bag for the cabin and something individual for the kids. It is too much to deliver over multiple days for us personally. I don't think I have generally had anyone in my FE group deliver more than once to my cabin either. The long transatlantic/repo cruises are a little different.

I still think that making just two groups (combining say Mickey/Minnie and Donald/Goofy or whatever) is the simplest. Nothing would have to be redone, just two groups added together. JMO!

No. Belle's sister posted the comment that if there are not enough cabins then it's not as fun for the kids. So I made the suggestion that some people could just give twice. I was just throwing it out there as a suggestion.

I agree that we shouldn't KEEP updating and changing, but I don't think it's too late to update and change our mind as a group right now. Nothing had been decided until this week...nobody had final counts. Many had started thinking/planning, but we were waiting for final numbers. I had always heard that we were splitting into two groups...not four...so I was planning on 30 cabins or so. I think it should be a group decision and that we shouldn't have some do it one way and some do it another. I don't personally think side groups on their own would be a good idea...takes away from the whole idea of the group FE IMO!

The kids meet will still be at 2:30pm on day 1 at the promenade lounge. The meet is not exclusive to kids. Anyone who wants to come can come.

Please don't feel the need to bow out based on a group discussion/sharing of ideas. I'm certainly willing to go with whatever the majority decides...just sharing my opinion as others have.

We have decided to combine the Donald and Minnie Groups into one and the Mickey and Goofy groups into one. Right now that puts each at 21 and 20 cabins. These numbers could go down since we haven't heard from everyone if they are still in the exchange. The only changes from this point on will be additions or deletions of cabins from the groups and of course the missing names and stateroom numbers.

I hope that we can move on to more interesting discussions and let the fe list go as it is. This has been frustrating for all involved. It saddens me that this seems to have become such a problem for people. It's supposed to be fun and right now I have to say I'm not having much fun.

I will be posting the lists next.

Thanks for the updated lists! Kudos to all the organizers; 20-21 cabins is a perfect number and it will be REALLY fun. The only FE we participated in was during a 3 night cruise, but it was truly amazing. I'm so glad we'll get a chance to do this for a longer cruise. Now it's time to order the supplies!

No bad feelings here. I think it just works out better for me. I've decided to do the secret Mickey instead. Truly, I cannot wait to meet all the wonderful families on our board.

WOW!! I'm glad this is coming to a close.... the FE drama I mean... hahaha. This should totally be fun, and not stressful.

I bought all my stuff for my original 9 cabins, and now I'll have to go out and buy 9 more (if I can). But no worries..... This is my first time with FE and if you all say the more the merrier, then I'm with you.

Now that the lists are where they are going to stay, we can all get started on our FE gifts.....

I'm sorry I didn't get to participate on my last cruise, and I'm just thinking that I don't want you to see it taking place, and regret not doing it....

I can't wait to get started, but it will have to wait now.... my son's birthday is this weekend (turning 17) and we just found out that we need to move AGAIN!! UGH..... so the next weekend is packing, and the weekend after that is moving, and the weekend after that is valentines day weekend.... OMG. I need another month please.....

I just want the list so I can see how many boy or girl trinkets I need to buy.

The new lists look great...thanks for all the hard work! I was most certainly not trying to be problematic. I was just expressing my thoughts based on what was said earlier regarding the splitting into 2 groups as well as my past experience with FE exchanges. Enough said...it's going to be fun!

Was everyone able to get the reservations they wanted for Palo/excursions/spa?

Was everyone able to get the reservations they wanted for Palo/excursions/spa?

I got dinner on Palo on Tuesday which is our Anniversary, and brunch at Palo on Saturday to have a nice ending to which is sure to be an amazing vacation. We did this on the last day on our previous Disney cruise too and it's nice to sit with my hubby and reflect on the week and all the wonderful memories that we're taking home.... just the two of us. (with a glass of wine, of course)

I booked an excursion at Puerto Vallarta, but am re-thinking it now... I'm with Vegaslover and doing your own thing.... we only did 1 excursion out of 3 ports on our last Disney cruise and had a blast!
We're defenitely going over to Stone Island in Mazatlan on our own (with some other people on the board) and am looking forward to it.
I'm thinking the beach in a taxi at Cabo, and possibly a rental car/jeep in Puerto Vallarta. I'm going to do some more research...

Also booked the Exotic Rasul in the spa...don't know what it is, but it sounded good for our Anniversary so that's what we're doing... and I'm not gonna lie....it was affordable. Some of those spa treatments are big $$$. My husband gives a great massage for FREE!!

Our TA booked Gary and I for Brunch on Monday, I think we'll try to change to Tuesday. We have dinner reservations for Saturday night.

Gary and Andre will do the Signiture Dolphin Swim in Puerto Vallarta and I'll be watching and taking lots of pictures. I think that's the only excursion for us. Just do our own thing in Mazatlan and Cabo.

Right now no spa ressies, they're all pretty spendy. Maybe there will a good special to book on board.

Cyndi, really it's going to work out just fine. The secret Mickey will be perfect for us. So, it's all good.

I think the excursions are so expensive, my goodness. Especially the resort excursions. I just did a little digging and those can be done for so much less money.

I have to admit though that reading the government webite is a little unnerving. They have all of these warnings - don't carry a purse, wear jewlery, and watch what kind of cab company you use, etc. The cities on alert are mostly by the border, but it looks like Mazatlan has some issues going on.
