Shawnda1014, is one of your kids under the age of 3? If so, you can legitimately have 5 in one room. My guess is that the CMs you talked to on the phone thought that is what you meant by "five people in a room for four". If you specifically asked them if you could have five people all over the age of three in a room meant for four, you probably would have been told a different answer. And, like a PP said, you are not really talking to someone from the resort when you call the so-called resort phone number. Some of those phone CMs have never set foot on Disney property, and are notorious for giving out incorrect info.
You must already be a tad nervous about being over the room occupancy, or you wouldn't have posted about it.Now, it's very possible no one would notice you're over the limit and you'd be fine bending the rules. BUT imagine the embarrasment and inconvenience if someone did notice, and you got called out on it. If it were me, I'd be so paranoid about getting busted it would really put a damper on the trip. I'd be having us "sneak" in and out of the room a few at a time so all five of us weren't spotted leaving or entering the room together. I should add, we have "snuck" an extra person in at other low budget motels/hotels when on other vacations (Super 8 and the like), and no one has batted an eye, even when we've all trooped past the front desk together. But Disney World is different, and I think it more likely that they will notice and not allow you to be over the room limit.
