Disney value/ moderate resort question 5 people in max 4 room

Shawnda1014, is one of your kids under the age of 3? If so, you can legitimately have 5 in one room. My guess is that the CMs you talked to on the phone thought that is what you meant by "five people in a room for four". If you specifically asked them if you could have five people all over the age of three in a room meant for four, you probably would have been told a different answer. And, like a PP said, you are not really talking to someone from the resort when you call the so-called resort phone number. Some of those phone CMs have never set foot on Disney property, and are notorious for giving out incorrect info.

You must already be a tad nervous about being over the room occupancy, or you wouldn't have posted about it.Now, it's very possible no one would notice you're over the limit and you'd be fine bending the rules. BUT imagine the embarrasment and inconvenience if someone did notice, and you got called out on it. If it were me, I'd be so paranoid about getting busted it would really put a damper on the trip. I'd be having us "sneak" in and out of the room a few at a time so all five of us weren't spotted leaving or entering the room together. I should add, we have "snuck" an extra person in at other low budget motels/hotels when on other vacations (Super 8 and the like), and no one has batted an eye, even when we've all trooped past the front desk together. But Disney World is different, and I think it more likely that they will notice and not allow you to be over the room limit.

Are all 5 people 3+ years old? Are all 5 people listed on the reservations with WDW? Also, did you make your FP+ reservations for all 5 individuals between 31-60 days out? Anyone with a ticket attached to their Magic account can make a FP+ within 30 days.

We are not saying that you cannot have 5 people in a 4 person room, since people obviously do this. Just that WDW will not let you book a 4 person room for 5 people where everyone is 3+ years old DIRECTLY with WDW. If you called the WDW reservation line and asked about a roll-away bed and told them you had 5 people, they may not have asked about ages. Roll-away beds are available even to those with less than 5 people in a room since sometimes kids will not/cannot sleep in the same bed. I know that I almost asked for one when staying in a HA room with my sister that only had 1 king bed. She and I do not share beds well.

What most people are pointing out is that if you book a room that only hold 4 and only have 4 people listed on the reservation, but plan to put 5 people in the room, you are giving up on certain amenities for the non-registered guest.

I already have my reservations at All Star Music through Hotels.com. I called and spoke to someone at All Star Movies a few months ago and I called All Star Music yesterday. I flat out said, I have 5 people in a 4 person room. Can I just get a roll away bed or something? Both times, I was told absolutely! It's $16 a day.

Why not stay somewhere else? It's more than DOUBLE!

We are going in 18 days and have booked all 5 of our Fast Passes already as well. My point was you CAN do it. Yes I understand the limitations. All these posts are EXTREMELY negative saying you CAN'T, CAN'T, CAN'T. Do whatever works for your family. This will work for mine. There are OPTIONS, that's my point.

The problem is, you were told WRONG. And it is really going to mess up your vacation when you show up and they tell you you are over the allowed limit. Hopefully you have the money set aside for an additional room. Or are ready to go off site.

It is not a matter of what works for you. It is a matter of what the rules are. You do not understand the limitations, or else you wouldn't be arguing. The room limit is 4, plus one child under the age of 3. You are over it, and will not be allowed to keep it, if the front desk is aware of how many people you have.

I just noticed how old this thread is... But,

There are some budget motels in the US that really, truly don't care if you put an extra child in the room.

Disney cares very much.
this is absolutely true. Disney runs their hotels like no other hotels on this planet.....Magicbands,FP+ and MDE have pretty much efficently ended any 'extras' in a room....

It has more to do with trolling than it does the creature that is a troll.

You will often see them on subjects that are more hotly debated and often to stir the pot.

You really should have a back up plan - maybe a few hotels close by that are available. Disney can kick you out of the room for exceeding the occupancy limit. Something about fire safety rules I've heard.

Ignore what I said if one of your 5 is under age 3.

My niece works at All Stars in the CP program. All I can say is good luck; they do not have any rollaways on the property. As others have mentioned you are violating the legal terms and conditions of your reservation that you agree to when making said reservation, they can dismiss you from the property with no refund. It won't allow you to list 5 on the reservation for a reason.

Do some people get away with it, absolutely. Do some people get caught and asked to leave, absolutely. Niece say they don't catch them with security as often as they are turned in by other guests who report them when seeing so many enter a room, make noise, etc.

Ignore if one of the individuals is under 3.
