i hate that kind of traffic really honks you off.

but the kids looked happy chilling in the back

The kids did great during the whole trip & they slept through the road work. Yeah, it honked us or something like that.

Great update.....too funny about Christine messing you up and you going the wrong way!!! That stinks!!!! And totally something I would have done, I laughed outloud when you said you tried to turn her down!!!

The kids look comfy and relaxed......that stinks about traffic! Hope you made up some time, somewhere?!!

Sorry to hear about your traffic delays... but once you got to Disney, I'm sure all that frustration faded away quickly!

We arrived at our hotel at 8:30.
(See our Mickey antenna topper the sweet Dis'er sent me in my PTR)

Brad is checking us in.

Here are the pics of the room. I took them in case anyone else drives to WDW & needs a clean, cheap room to stay in before checking in WDW. We drove down a day early on our last trip & stayed here too.


Lexi has already put her stuffed animals to sleep.

It's late & Brad is tired from the drive, but I want to go to DTD. We take the suitcases in & head over to DTD. The hotel is just across the entrance to DTD. It takes us about 3-5 minutes to get there.

Lexi & Levi were given X-amount of money to spend on their trip. Of course we go to World of Disney.

Lexi finds a Minnie Mouse that she likes

Lexi & Levi want a hat and we tell them that we will purchase their hat. We all try on hats, but in the end they can't decide on one. Too many choices.

I had read on the Disboards there was a store in DTD where everything was under $5. It took us a while to find the store, but we finally did. I had envisioned in my head it would be a store where you could really get some deals at a cheap price. But, it's really a store that has the same items that every other store has & at the price. It's just all the $5 & under items in one store. I looked at the antenna toppers, but didn't purchase one.

The kids had fun looking in all the stores. I guess because I was tired from staying up late the night before packing, I didn't take many pictures.

Did you see the baby Minnie Lexi had with her in the van? She bought this on our last WDW trip in 2008. She sleeps with baby Minnie every night.

Lexi had been saying when we returned to WDW she wanted to buy a baby Mickey. I kept telling her they probably do not sell them anymore. I was wrong. It turns out they still sell baby Minnie, Mickey & a ton of other character babies. She was now distraught on which one she wanted to buy.




The only purchase made in DTD was by Levi. He bought a Pirate telescope for $4. Levi at first wanted to buy more in DTD. I reminded him that we had not even gone into the parks yet & he needed to wait to see what else he saw that week.

We left tired & hungry and everything was closed except Taco Bell. I never let the kids eat Taco Bell, but they love it . We do drive-thru & pick up taco's to take back to the hotel.

Brad & the kids fall asleep right after they eat.

I wanted to get a pedicure before we went to WDW, but never found the time that week. I paint Lexi's toes while she sleeps. Isn't this cute?

Then I paint my Minnie toes!

I'm off to bed


Saturday morning- We wake up at 6:00, get ready and check out of our hotel.
You can see the kiddie pool play area & Hwy-4 outside our room.

We're on our way to check-in at Caribbean Beach!!!

It never seems to matter how tired we are on arrival day we always muster up enough energy to hit DTD....

I remember when Jasmine was little and I too had to remind her it was only the first day that there were many more shopping days ahead of us....now Tren D is about the only store she goes crazy for

Yay for an update! Glad you liked the Comfort Inn alright.. I've seen some awesome rates for that place before, but I'm always too worried about staying off property. Maybe I'll jump on one sometime to plan an inexpensive overnight stay.

I would just fly out & meet the boys too! You can hit the outlets while waiting on them to get there!

Since you drive & have your own transportation, I would recommend the Comfort Inn for a quick over-nighter. They have a great hot brkfst w/Mickey waffles!
