Disney Trip 12/26 a few questions

It's almost time...I've been planning this since March...we're going to Disney -
December 26 until New Years...kids (ages 15 and 9) have no idea. I'm so excited.

The questions are this:

1. First I'm staying at Fairfield's Star Island Country Club and Resort....has any one
stayed recently - were you pleased?
2. If yes, did you do the timeshare presentation? how was that?
3. What's the best route to disney from there?


I guess I'm having last minute gitters. Any responses or ideas of any other nature
for a first timer is welcomed.
