Hiho
Any one recently gone to Sea World from Disney?

We've just booked for a week next September to the Port Orleans and as we missed Sea World last visit want to make an effort next year to do it.

We don't drive and have used Mears years ago to do this but a bit of a pain. Just wondering if a taxi for 3 adults would make more sense depending on cost difference.

We do have 4 days at the end of the disney trip staying on site at Universal and i know it's closer to do from there but we want our Universal days just to be for Harry Potter time next time :)

Its been a while since i've done it, but the Lynx bus service (52 i think it is) runs from the TTC to seaworld, its about a 20-25 minute trip and a couple of dollars each

:goodvibes

weve used a taxi and found it the easiest and best way for us.
There were 3 of us and It didn't cost much more than the Mears shuttle service.
It was so much better though, picked up on time and driven straight there. Later we called when we were ready and they picked us up at a convenient time. It made the day so much easier and we had more time :)
I know before we used the Mears shuttle and it went round loads of hotels, we missed an ADR at Chef Mickeys due to that.

I'm pretty sure ours was $45 including tip from AKL via ASMu, but it may have been less - we took a lot of cab rides :)

We stayed at Hilton Bonnet Creek which is bang next door to CBR and for us to take cab to from hotel to Seaworld was $34 before tip. Hope that helps! :)

we did this in October 2012 and cost about $25 inc tip going (direct). coming back we went via the discount shopping mall and as we did it as two trips came out slightly more at $35 including tips.

We stayed at OKW in December and our taxi to SW was $26 plus tip :goodvibes

HTH :thumbsup2

Claire :)

Many thanks all for the replies , if i budget $50 each way including tip for the taxi i think thats definatly the way to go.

Cheers.

I think a taxi is well worth it. Done the bus a couple of times and while I quite like the ride the walk from the bus stop to the park is a killer across the car park when it's hot especially when you are going to spend the day doing a fair amount of walking in the sun.

We take the lynx 50 bus from DTD all the time. Its very quick and the walk from the bus stop to the gate is 5-7 mins. IMO spending all that money on a taxi plus tip is a no go when the lynx bus is only $2 each way and kids are free.:goodvibes

Sounds like a bargain - I guess you could always bus to Seaworld and taxi back if you are tired and just wanna get "home".... we are now considering staying on site with no car so this a great thread :goodvibes
