Disney Tattoos

Here is a pic of my husband tattoo. It's tink with our daughter's name under it.

I have one on my ankle of the Mickey Mouse head with the flag inside it. I bought the pin a couple years ago at Disney World on vacation and took it with me to get the tattoo so they could copy it.

This is the same one I have! Here I thought I was original:thumbsup2 ...I'd love to see yours though. Mine is about the size of a dollar coin.

I'm getting my first tattoo in a month or so! It'll be of Tink-just not sure what exactly!

I already have 5 tattoo's and after reading all about your disney tattoo's suddenly felt the urge to have one done of my own!
As I am a massive stitch fan - I'm getting one done of the loveable character to go with all my stitch memorabilia in my glass cabinet!!
My appointment is tomorrow morning at 10.30.
Eventually I'll also get a tinkerbell one done as well, but as I had 2 done at once before will wait!!

I should have a better idea of what my POTC will be will in the next couple of weeks:thumbsup2

After seeing this thread I'm now rethinking the design for my next tat... Hmmmm... back to the drawing board. Or maybe 2 new ones at one time.... :rotfl2:

Honestly I don't think I'd ever get a Disney tattoo... just doesn't seem right to me. Maybe a tiny Mickey head.

Then again, plenty of people wouldn't want red dragons, and I have two of those, and I'm considering another one for the cover-up job I want to get done on my shoulder.

i don't have me a disney tattoo, but i have a little star!!

my older sister has two stars on her foot, one is the second to the right.. ((peterpan)) but you wouldn't guess it by looking at it. i don't COMPLETELY understand her choice for that one, but she's got 5. i'll stick with my little one! LOL-

eventually, i wanted to get the breast cancer ribbon on my body, for my maw maw who fought and won her battle with breast cancer, and maybe have a smallllllllllll pair of mickey ears that the ribbon is WEARING, for my mom, who dodged breast cancer, when they showed her lump was just a cyst! she's a biiiig disney fanatic, MAGIC2000, all over the boards, so- one day.. but- 4 months before my wedding? she's skin me alive if i did it now!! hahahaha:rotfl:

i'm getting my first tattoo this thursday! it's going to be pearl from finding nemo (my sister and i are big disney fans and we have an inside joke about octopi so it was a no brainer what i was going to get). i'm so excited... just having second thoughts about where i'm going to put it.

I may get one done in Florida while I am there!! I drew it myself...it is of sleeping beauty's castle inside an abstract mickey head with pixie dust around it and at the base it says dream! I dont know though...I am sort of a chicken but I figure it is pretty small so it should not take that long! Who knows...we will see!!

hello~

I really want to get my tattoo when I am actually down at Disney. Has anyone used an artist in Orlando? :confused3 I want to get a black Minnie head with the red bow and polka dots on my upper back left shoulder. Any recommendations would be appreciated!:)

just an FYI, we were at the "other" parks last week (we were at Disney most of the time...), and Universal Citi-Walk now has a Hart&Huntington Tattoo shop.

Michelle in NY (planning on visiting H&H in September to add to my collection)

Unless you have some pressing reason to get it done in Florida, I'd seriously recommend not getting a tattoo on your vacation.

1) Unless you know someone who you trust and can recommend a shop, are you just going to find somewhere while you're down there? Any decent place, walk-ins are few and far between.
2) Sure, you could use the internet to find somewhere, but there's no substitute to visiting a tattoo parlor yourself.
3) You'll want to show your design to the tattoo artist before you get there, so they can recommend any way to improve/change it to make a better tattoo. For example, if your design is insanely detailed, this can be a problem because fine lines don't age well. Just because something works as art, doesn't mean it'll work well as a tattoo.
4) And for goodness sake, who wants to go to Florida and not be able to swim??? If you get a tattoo, swimming will be off-limits until it heals.

Just my two cents! There's obviously a market for it, since there's a tattoo parlor in Universal City Walk, so people can and do get tattoos on their vacations. But I wouldn't do it, personally.

Now that I know how to post pictures I can post the picture and not the link.

Here is my Tinkerbell. I had her tattooed in Germany. She on the top of my spine in the middle of my back. We had to take the picture at a weird angle because the flash kept bouncing off of my skin. The dress is not as spotty as the picture looks.

Love the tattoo's everyone!
flick, I love your Tink tattoo!
I only have 1 but it's not a disney character. It's on my hip, it's 2 roses with my DH name inside a ribbon. Got it 18 years ago, my how time flies.
princssdisnygina, it does burn and you have to put Bacitracin or Neosporin on it. At least thats what I had to do back then. I would not recommend getting it done in Florida you cannot swim or let the sun hit. I'd wait.
I am really dying to one of Tink. Maybe I'll treat myself to one of Tink for my birthday. ;)
