Disney Tattoos

subscribing! love this thread. I have no disney tattoo's. Just a tramp stamp as some call it.:lmao: It's just blue and purple daisy's across my lower back.
The next one I want on my foot. I would love my kids names somewhere.

wow, super cool thread everyone!

i am however getting the birds from this original attraction poster done in march:

This is BRILLIANT!! I have been trying to think of another tattoo for me and one for DH, and, as we ADORE all things Disney and have three parrots of our own (two very uncreatively named after Fritz and Pierre from the Tiki Room) I want the Barker Bird!

Here are my two Disney Tattoos. I have one on my upper back shoulder(a sort of tribal that matches the Notre Dame "tribal" on my DH's arm) and another one on my foot. Both have "hidden" Mickeys, sort of.

ETA: WOW! SOrry these are so huge. I have NO idea how to make them any smaller!

Oh my goodness I saw this guy once. It was a few years ago and we were on one of the busses on the way to EPCOT. It was pretty interesting. Then a few weeks after we got back we saw a special on him on TV.

Make sure you go to a shop that knows what they're doing, if they're going to tattoo your feet. The skin there is different, and the artist really needs to know what they're doing. My other tattoo is below my ankle, and his tail goes out onto my foot. The guy who did it considered it a foot tattoo, because it was more on the foot than the ankle.

Oh, and get it done in JULY and not JANUARY.... it was a very high maintenence tattoo to get to heal properly because I had to wear shoes all the time!! It involved lots of ointment, and wrapping it in saran wrap. The wrap had to be changed about every 3 to 4 hours. NOT FUN! But it healed up well :)

Here's my other guy... the girls call him my Mushu dragon, even though he looks nothing like Mushu!

He was a re-do (kinda like a cover-up, but where they keep the same idea of the original image) so that's why he's got that weird bearded fringe thing. I like him 1000% better than the original dragon that was there though!

There is a down size to getting at tattoo in the summer. You cant soak it in a bath or go swimming for at least 3 weeks (individual artists will vary on this). The longer the better. You cant pick at the tattoo (by pulling the scab off you can pull the ink out of your skin, dulling it. You also have to think about the sun and keep sunscreen on it (even after its well healed too). Be sure to use tattoo ointment on it while its healing too. Ive heard Vaseline can dull it. Ive got two tattoos on my ankles. One of two dolphins in a yin-yang form, and the other an angel holding the pink breast cancer ribbon in honor of my mother who died from the disease. Had it done on her birthday, a week before the 5th anniversary of her death.

Thanks micknpluto!

The Stitch one will soon be added to the tattoo studios website - have just checked - not on as yet, but Shady was well impressed with it after doing it!!

Allright, first off; not sure how many of you remember DizzKneeGeek(aka The TrashMan) and PrincessFontaine. We haven't been posting much in the last few months seeing as how we're getting ready for our first kid and all. Cleaning, preparing, decorating and working overtime takes up way more time than I had imagined. For those of you who don't know or remember us; here's a little pic.

Now, those of you that know me didn't think I could let a tattoo thread pass by without posting in it...did you? I think not. Granted, I only have one small Disney related tattoo; but PrincessFontaine has a few. She is also planning a Princess themed full sleeve after the baby is born and I am planning a thigh piece with 'not as well known' characters. Anyway.

Here is PF's Tinkerbell tattoo. It's on her forearm and goes from her wrist to almost the crook of her elbow.

And here is her "Bluebird on her shoulder'. Just as the song says.

You know what? Come to think of it; I do have a Disney related tattoo. Seeing as how Disney Now has the Muppets. Here is my tattoo of a tweaked out Gonzo pez machine. Its right in the crook of my right arm, at the elbow. When I mover my elbow joint; it looks like he is dancing.

There you go. We love all the other Disney tattoos everybody has been posting.

And to all of our friends we used to talk to on here and especially on the Picture of the Day thread; send us a message sometime. We're to the point now where it's just waiting for the baby. So we have a bit more time these days. Sorry for the long post....as usual.

Yet to receive a tattoo... but thinking of getting one this summer... my ideal goal is in fact Disney World related...

My dad passed away when I was 11, and our most happy times were spent together in Disney World. I would like a "picture" of my dad and me holding hands (similar to the partners statue of walt and mickey) with him pointing up the Castle. The overall picture will be "cropped" into the shape of a 4 leaf clover, with his Initials in Old English writing on top, and a banner across the base of the Clover with the word "dad" and his dates. I don't want it in full detail with vibrant color. I want it mostly in dark brown lines (not black) with accent color shading (green for the clover, blue for castle aspets, etc) so that its eye catching when exposed, but doesn't "scream out" at people. If you've every watched the show Miami Ink on TLC, Kat usually does similar portrait work like what I've described. Overall the tattoo will go on my lower back.

I hope to expand it as well... creating a celtic knot in the shape of a Mickey Head for each child I have, featuring first name and DOB...

Love your tattoos!!! I love tink too! I want her showering pixie dust over my daughter's name. My dh got a really cool tattoo that has her name worked in it and I was suppose to get one too and here she is almost 7 and I still haven't gotten yet!! Good luck with the baby!!
Also in hurricane alley!!!

Dameodie--Thank you! My first was the "tribal" and DH got it on his upper arm with an ND(Notre Dame) where the hidden Mickey is on mine. I loved his and thought it would look really cool to have the Mickey head in the center.
The one on my foot I got off the internet, but there was originally another flower where the Mickey head is. I guess I have a theme going!

I also agree with the foot thing. I got mine last summer and was told not to wear a shoe for several dys if possible. I wear nothing but flip flops in the summer so that was no problem...and so far that was also the most painful tattoo for me(though I do only have two). No tears, but thank goodness for DH and the tatoo artist to keep me in good conversation...and for my high pain tolerance.

DizKneeGeek....I Do remember you from last year. I hadn't posted for several months either. Congratulations on the upcoming little one!

I love seeing everyone's tattoos!
