I admit that I have been pretty much out of the malls since the summer--up at the cottage, camping etc. So have the stores changed much? The last time I was in Yorkdale Mall the Disney store was still closed--has it opened back up? How about the one at Fairview Mall. Are they still worth going to?

Any info appreciated.

Neat post!
Last Sunday, we stopped at the Yorkdale Mall - the Disney store was open and seemed very different. Kinda sterile - cold, you know. But lots of neat things to look at and still fun to shop at. Dh and Dd dropped me off at the Sheraton downton for a conference I was at until Wed. So on a free evening, I went to the Eaton's Centre. The Disney Store was like the old ones - and you know, I realized, I liked them better. We're from Southern Ont. so any Disney Store is a treat! But I guess I liked the older version better! ::MickeyMo

DW and I went to the Disney Store Outlet at Vaughan Mills Outlet Mall on Saturday afternoon. We agreed that it was a crying shame that we would NEVER be able to take DD5 there -- at least 1/3 of the store is Disney Princess, and this particular little Princess is of the opinion that she needs all Disney Princess merchandise.

I didn't notice too many bargains that hadn't been available at the regular Disney Stores I've been to over the last year. The fashion dolls were about the same price I've paid on sale in the past and the children's graphic t-shirts were about the same price again. However bargains were there on adult t-shirts -- $4.99 with an additional 25% off at the cash register. $3.74 is a great price for a t-shirt, and an astoundingly great price for a Disney t-shirt.

We managed to get numerous stocking stuffers for DD5 -- yes, Disney Princess merchandise all 'round and they were giving away Disney Store mouse ears. :earsboy: (only youth sizes available :sad1: )

The Disney Store opened up in West Edmonton Mall a week ago. It is alot brighter compared to the original store in Kingsway Garden Mall. It will be interesting to see if the location in Kingsway remains open. I started my Christmas shopping. I found 2 long sleeved polo shirts for my nephews for $10 each.

bev r, I was wondering when that store was opening. I'll have to check it out this week. WEM is closer to me than Kingsway.

We went to Vaughan mills too just to check it out and I didnt really find that much of a diffrence in price of merchandise, other than they had more clearance, but the prices were the same as the normal store. Since they didnt really advertize that there was an additional 25% off we didnt buy anything. It did seem to be almost all princess which is been the thing Ive noticed people are always complaining about.

I anyone happens to head up to West Edmonton Mall, could they check on the price of a 2 day or 3 day pass to the parks.....tks

Went to the Disney Store today. My bargain purchase was a handful of lunch kits. Normally, $12.50, down to $4.99, extra 25% off, final price $3.75. I'm going to give them out as a loot bag for dd birthday party in a few months. Just in case dh makes me return them, I did find out that the return policy is 60 days, even for sale items. They had Lizzie, Nemo, Kim Possible, power ranger and I another that looks like Molly from the Big Comfy couch.

Spsneman, were you looking for Disneyworld or Disneyland tickets? I have your info. Just let me know which it is you need.
