So even though the gondala's may be able to run before fall it might take that long for the safety and infrastructure to be in place.

They wouldn't run these without all the safety aspects in place. That would be a major issue if they did have a safety issue before it was complete.

I think that most of the human test riders will be employees of Doppelmayr and/or the building contractors, not Disney.

Of course, the majority of the test riders will be sandbags, though I bet that if you dug around in enough backstage warehouses, you could probably put together a decent group of crash-test dummies from the old Test Track queue.

Anyone that is riding in any sort of “test phase” will have to be covered by specific insurance that covers that - so maybe some project managers or something that are Disney employees and are covered by special insurance for the project will be part of it but definitely not your standard CM

Things may have changed in the (many) years since I worked out there. But when Big Thunder Mountain opened they used us to test the ride. We would go after work and ride for hours. Fun times.

when it was first built or just for the daily/weekly tests? I think it is different when something is mid-construction / not signed off as completed vs daily testing. Would fall under different insurance policies

There is testing and "testing." I'm sure there will be regular CMs for the "testing" phase that will actually be training and creating procedures, but the system will have already been signed off.

with the 3 lift hills, I could see the need to validate a real-world weighted train would correctly make it between lift segments without stalling or causing problems that could happen with multiple trains on the track.

Normally that is done with water jug dummies or sand on coasters.

My concern for riding does not come from lightning/wind/rain or even a break-down. I am not claustrophobic (well, to my knowledge up until now). What I do have is a sense of smell that, sometimes, can easily fool my mind into a uneasy feeling. So, if I'm in a gondola that has, shall I say, a child that didn't feel well or was unable to make it to a restroom, even with what I predict will be "good" ventilation, that 3-5 minute ride (or whatever it is), is more than enough time to cause a cascade effect on me. I don't think I'm alone on this.

Just doing some rough conservative math...5 gondola's leaving every minute with 6-8 people =30-40 people leaving the station per minute..
I just don't believe that even at park closing and especially leaving the resorts.. there will be that many people that will make it to the loading area each minute on a consistent basis.
It's not like everybody is going to leave their resort room at the same time..and going to DHS/Epcot.
The crowds are massive at closing but not everybody will be going to the station, so the ones that will are scattered thru that crowd and will need time to negotiate their way thru.
I'm pretty sure that either by waiting for a lull or just waiting to leave the resort/park there should be plenty of empty gondola's most of the time...they will be running 12+ hours every day.
The CBR hub could be like grand central station at times..but if you wait, there will still be a lull.
It may just be me but...what's the hurry..it's a vacation.
I'm looking at these as being more of a fun ride than anything else, and a 100% sure I can be king of the gondola mid day

Point is, resorts served by the Skyliner will be able to move more guests to/from the parks than the buses ever could. That's a good thing. Yes there will be lines at peak times but total time room to/from park will be shorter and you get a much better view.

When there are passengers on the gondola the movement will be less.
