Disney Skyliner (Gondola Transportation System) Read Post 1 Now Open!

After many visits to DW since the Skyliner opened, and many times using it and taking advantage of the convenience, I can say that we LOVE the Skyliner.

Skyliner really is a premium addition to Art of Animation / Pop Century, and Caribbean Beach. It is also just about the only thing that is particularly good about Riviera. I really do hope that they will expand it someday SOON to most of the other resorts and other parks.

I'm so excited to ride these! I remember riding the ones that went across Magic Kingdom!
We were so excited to ride it also. When we stayed at POP in 2019, we watched them running in the test phase and finally got to ride it on our Honeymoon trip in 2021!

We are a party of 3. When we ride the skyliner, will they put other people in it with us? Just wondering what is the occupancy of them?

If it is busy, they will put other parties with you. Primarily at rope drop and park close. I believe the gondolas are designed to hold 8.

While I’ve personally never been herded into a loaded Skyliner like an end-of-the-night Monorail car, I’m sure that 8(-10? if some are children) person gondolas happen for the after-Luminous crowd.

We had Beaches & Cream reservations for 9:30pm I believe, and we walked past a Skyliner line that stretched all the way from the station to just before the Beach Club building. I love the Skyliner but that was a little eye-opening 👀

It moves relatively fast though. You make better progress, IMHO, moving through the Skyliner queue at either of Epcot or DHS than waiting for a bus where you may or may not have a seat. On the Skyliner everyone will sit.

I enjoy the ride on the Skyliner more than I do a few of the actual attractions.
We use the Skyliner for a short break if we're at EPCOT or HS. Just get on and do a round trip. Rest our legs and take a relaxing break. Do the same thing with the PeopleMover in MK.

I've only gone on the skyline during the day, and also find it like a walk-on attraction. Fun, restful, usually take it from Epcot to Riviera to dine at Primo Piatto
