Disney Removes the Ability to Leave Reviews on FB?

I'm not trying to tell people what to post but I am, apparently, asking questions people don't want to answer but I don't know why. If a person is truly upset enough by the change and they say they won't return, what's the point of posting on a board that discusses strategies for visiting that park?

My guess is that they hope some of the rules and restrictions will change so they can go back to a park they know and love. And they can keep on top of those changes if they should occur by reading here.

They should go back to no FP and be more like US. Then they can charge you for a FP, or if you stay on site then you can get one Fp per ride for your entire stay. Let's just take away FP plus and then no more bad reviews. The lines for regular people at US are horrid. They will get worse with the new opening, I will stick with Disney. FP doesn't bother me, I know I seem to be in the minority, but I have tried it now 5 times since October, shortest trip was 4 days, and we made it work well for us. I have tried it, worked out the kinks for us, and can't wait until our next trip.

We loved the old FP, tried to dislike the new one due to all we heard, but we couldn't dislike it, we could sleep later and still have FP for our favorite rides, and yes I usually set up our FP in the morning after we decide which park we want to go to, and we can still get what we want in the time frame that works for us.

I think the website got overrun with the same people returning to the site to make numerous hates. I don't have time to troll a site, not sure I would notice the changes. I chose to make lemonade, not sour faces!

Actually when you stay onsite at US you get unlimited express with no assigned times while staying at hotels nicer than Disney's deluxe at their moderate price. But don't let actual facts get in your way ;).

Btw, do you really believe that Disney is giving you FP for free?

Plenty of posters say that Disney reads these sites and it may well be true but I don't believe anyone can say with certainty that they do, unless I missed the announcement from WDW that they do.

Have you been catching all the announcements from WDW about FP+? You know, all the super-informative ones that say which resorts will start testing when, when tiers would come, when Legacy FP machines would be removed? 'Cause I'm not sure I remember Jack Squat from them on any of it. Is that the kind of certainty from WDW you're looking for?

Isnt reading comprehension enough?:confused3 People can read about FP+ and can determine for themselves if it will work for their touring style, ESPECIALLY if they have been there before. So if I read about FP+ before trying it but I was eager with anticipation to try it and I thought it was the best thing ever...would that be ok?

We went in early Dec and got in before the tiering. I dont need to experience tiering firsthand to know it stinks! We also got to double dip and that was great...but I guess that wasnt a true test so I shouldnt comment on threads because I havent truly experienced FP+???

No I don't think simply reading about it is enough to understand if it would work for you. Everyone post from their own bias, positive or negative, and the only way to truly know if it works for you is to try it.

Garbage. I don't need reading comprehension--math is enough. Three is less than six, whether I've tried it or not.

What is the fb page y'all are talking about? There are so many, most not Disney sponsored, just want to check out the one discussed here.

Actually the Universal hotels and a number of Disney Deluxe resorts are comparatively priced. But don't let facts get in your way.

Well good for you. Personally I would rather try something myself rather than let posters here tell me it doesn't work. When a movie receives a bad review does that keep you from seeing it?

You may want to read what I wrote again.

I for one have answered your questions.

I honestly want to know from you....based on my situation...do you really truly believe I could not make my mind up from reading other peoples experiences?

10 day non expiring ticket with hopper...Why exactly would I choose to go now, as opposed to when everything is more settled.

We are offsite. Strike 1
Ill be in Florida next month. Long before offsite FP planning access is supposed to allegedly occur. Strike 2
I have park hoppers, that I paid a good sum to upgrade to. Strike 3

You are very into people answering questions...So Ill like to know why I would go now...Without disboards I would not be aware of most of these changes...its all rainbows, unicorns, sunshine from Disney.

I think it is a reasonable conclusion to take awhile off and let them gets their ducks in a row (pardon the pun) :)

Im just not interested in wasting 1 or 2 of those tickets to "find out" (even though I already know, since i was there)

But I've never paid 5 grand to see a movie.......

Disney offers me less with FP+ then it did with FP. Please explain to me how I need to know more than that, or to waste my time and money trying it, to decide if I like it.

Trip to the movies..... $10
Trip to Disney........... $5000

Being able to think for myself? Priceless.

I'm quite certain I don't.

Pretty much every time I've looked up a per-night cost at any UO hotel I get something in the $250 range at worst. Lowest deluxe at Disney, $300 at best. Your math skills are not terribly impressive.

This is what I truly don't understand.

Yes, I have my opinions on FP+, but I did not form them based on any poster here telling me it doesn't work.

I've read what the specifications are of the new system. I've evaluated how that works with my touring style. It really is as simple as that. What any given poster here thinks about it for themselves has absolutely nothing to do with my thoughts on the subject.

Now I am still willing to give it a shot, but I am getting more than a bit tired of being told my current feelings on it are based on what others are saying about it. I think it's a bit insulting to insinuate that those who don't like FP+ are basically just lemmings who don't like it because someone else told them not to.:confused3

To further the movie analogy.....no, I don't just not see a movie because reviewers don't like it. Some of my favorite movies are ones that reviewers don't like. However, if I see a preview of a movie and the subject matter doesn't appeal to me, I won't go see the movie. That there may be negative reviews doesn't mean those reviews influenced my decision to not see the movie.

INTEGRITY, yes that is what this move is a lack of! Everyone knows there are a few crazies who will post crazy stuff on face book. Let's not make this out to be a few rogue people repeatedly posting bad things about this new innovention which appears to be about as popular as the plague right now! There must be a legit problem to get this kind of backlash and for Disney to censor the response to it. No doubt someone screwed up and damage control is now under way. The thing is they are trying to cover up the obvious displeasure with the system and they got caught. They got caught trying to fudge the numbers. It is down right dishonest, there is no other way to put it. Why sugar coat it? Telling people not to post or talk about it is pretty sad too. Why shouldn't people know that Disney doesn't want a honest opinion of their new system to come to light? I have cut my trips way way back and haven't been in years. I have already voted with my wallet. I am however holding out hope that someone will come in and start running things the way they used to at the world. Until that point if I and others wish to discuss this and it is relevant to some on here why shouldn't we? pixiedust:

Just looked it up, Universal hotels for the period I used were between 275 and 320 per night; Animal Kingdom and Wilderness Lodge were 280 to 330 per night for the same period. My math skills are fine.

Ed Zachary. And I don't need to spend thousands of dollars figuring that out.

Some of these posts sound like us/comcast employees beating a drum!

I don't work for Comcast. But my cable bill is high enough I might own a piece of Universal by now. I'll have to check on that.
