Disney Removes the Ability to Leave Reviews on FB?

I'm late to the conversation today (kind of like my life lately, seems like I'm late to everything :confused3) but ...

This struck me as exactly the divide. For me, and let me stress that for me, the parameters for FP+ work well. I tend to travel either by myself or with one friend, I seldom do repeat rides, and the tiers don't bother me as I don't care for TSMM or RnRC in HS, and the only rides I like in EP are Soarin' and Mission Space. In MK, simply arriving at RD or staying late (or both) would allow me to do everything I wanted in a day and still leave me more than plenty of time to browse, peruse, and people watch.

Having said that, I also realize that the way I travel and tour is not how many other people do so, and that what works for me, or works well for me, may not (and probably won't) work well for others.

It is why I try to stay neutral in most FP+ discussions, because while I can see benefits I can also see where it imposes new restrictions.

Did I miss something? I thought Ariels Grotto was brand new with the NFL expansion? Isn't that where she does her meet & greet in her mermaid form? When did Disney get rid of that? (and no, not aiming for snark or anything else, I am planning to do some character meets next month, and if she's gone or I have the wrong thing in my notes I'd like to know).

You are correct. The earlier post has a boo-boo.

Ariel is still there. Don't know if you can get a FP+ for her or not, but we met her in October. It's not the same Ariel's Grotto (which may be what the PP is referring to) - I think they did demolish that in the NFL expansion, but she still meets in her mermaid form in another location by her ride in NFL.

You can. :thumbsup2

Ariel's Grotto is her new meet and greet. It was also a meet and greet area years ago, and that one was closed. She met with Eric in Adventureland for a long time between the first grotto and the second.

Thanks!! :thumbsup2 If I'm remembering my KtP notes correctly (they aren't in front of me right now, and honestly I'm too lazy and tired right now to go look them up on my tablet) this is one of the first meets for one of my MK days, so shouldn't need a FP+ to reserve it. Short lines at RD and all that.

Glad to hear that! and I won't say anything else not related to the thread. Lord knows, I don't want to be accused of getting a thread off-topic! :rolleyes1

Show me one thread that does stay on topic these days and I will give you one of my souvenir FPs.:)

OK...you win. Which one or two do you want?

Damn! I hate being wrong. :)

I understand, you aren't wrong often. ;)

I feel like a kid in a candy store, or dare I say, like a kid on his way to Disney!! :rotfl2:

If you can part with them, either the Indiana Jones or Roger Rabbit? You're choice, since you were so gracious to offer them up?

Thanks :worship:

Oh, I am wrong all the time. I don't let the other voice in my head know it, but I think he is catching on. :dance3:

I will give you both Indiana and Roger. I am a man of my word, and since you did actually show me a thread that stayed on topic then I think you deserve them both. I will PM you.:)

Now, excuse me while I get back to being an evil genius.;)

I think the website got overrun with the same people returning to the site to make numerous hates. I don't have time to troll a site, not sure I would notice the changes. I chose to make lemonade, not sour faces!

What a JOKE.

If anyone bothered to read the site they would have seen there were over 1000s of negative posts, and yes there were some repeats, but, in other threads I did random samplings of 50 posts at a time, and rarely found a repeat, and found around 75% negative, 12% positive and 13% neutral.

So ... yea.

You aren't just "making lemonade" here. What you propose in an oh so positive manner, is paying thousands of dollars for rotting lemons, and then attempting to cover up the rot with sugar and sweetness (called "positive outlook" here) .... great. Now, everyone is entitled to dump sugar on top of rotting lemons to make it all taste great, but that doesn't change the fact that you are using rotten lemons to make your "lemonade".

Does this one count?

Or if I'm cheating ... (and I hope I did that right)

An Evil genius who is a man of his word, if this were the case, every Bond movie would be done before it really started.

:)

Mad, you were missed for a few days there, glad to see yur back.

You can't blame them for trying, though. It's getting easier for them to get used to the taste.

QUOTE=declansdad;50751948]For what purpose? I could understand the community board perhaps but why the theme park board if you have no desire to return to the park?

Maybe because people are beyond disappointed at the new and improved FastPass, and because people have strong positive feelings and memories of something that seems like it might be gone forever- like the ability to ride and do things the way they used to, and because people wish that things could be good again- good in their own eyes, not someone elses eyes, and because they don't want their trips to the most magical place on earth to be over-because it just isn't worth the exorbitant amounts of money it costs to visit WDW for them, and because waiting in lines is not quality time for many families- and they want the old magic back.....[/QUOTE]

Very well said. And maybe because we keep hoping against hope, that someone, anyone at Disney will read our posts and DO something about the mess they've created. Do something so that we can happily continue to visit WDW again and again - a place that we used to see as magical, but now no longer do.
