Disney Removes the Ability to Leave Reviews on FB?

Yes, however by your train of thought consumer digest shouldn't even exist. Why review what you think of product? You should physically test it yourself. I think alot of people understand what is going on and have had enough experience at Disney to understand wait times and what the lack of fast passes does to their trips.

Consumer digest is a great source of information, just like the Dis and other sites are for WDW. Just IMO, they are not the be all end all and don't replace personal experience.

I didn't, your 3 is less than 6 has nothing to do with the price of the resorts.

You also may only be able to get 3 Fast Passes but you have more attractions available than you did under the old system. That seems to be a positive to me.

That is a rather a self-defeating argument.

Very valid points rip. I have stayed at both universal deluxes and Disney deluxes. It has been ten years and I can still stay at a rate very close to what I did 10 years ago at universal. Can't say the same for Disney. I am comparing contemporary and poly to royal pacific and hard rock.

Exactly. I was saying this very same thing to my wife the other day. We started going to Universal about 7 years ago, and I don't think I'm paying any more this year than I did 7 years ago. The same can not be said of Disney (not even remotely close). And Universal has given us so much more for our dollar in that time.

Just looked it up, Universal hotels for the period I used were between 275 and 320 per night; Animal Kingdom and Wilderness Lodge were 280 to 330 per night for the same period. My math skills are fine.

Well, I also just looked it up and the rock bottom lowest rack rates (weekday standard/garden view in Value 1 season) for 2014 at Animal Kingdom and Wilderness Lodge are $319 and $325, respectively.

Ok let's try this another way. You like a car and are thinking of buying it. There are a bunch a negative reviews, do you simply say "Oh well" and move on or do you go take it for a drive?

Well, is the car a two-seat convertible? I have three kids, so I know without test driving it that it wouldn't work well for me. I don't base my decision on the reviews, but on the fact that the parameters don't fit what I need.

For someone who is working so hard to belittle everyone with every comment you make, you sure don't put much accuracy or thought into what you actually write. Sorry, but a condescending attitude on its own just isn't enough.

Did Disney even have fast passes for the lesser attractions in the FP- days? I can't ever remember pulling fast passes for EO or imagination small world etc. Heck the lines for these attractions were always non existent.

So now you want to qualify your statement by location and being an annual pass holder. Anything else you would like to change?

:lmao:

I think you're getting confused. I'm not mesaboy. I was simply pointing out that the comparison you made isn't quite, well, comparable. I mean, if location isn't a valid factor then please explain why the ones I mentioned are considerably higher.

:lmao:

If you want to compare, that's fine. Just let's compare apples to apples, si?

Most people with the slightest bit of logic can figure out whether a different experience will work for them without having to spend thousands of dollars to get less.

Less is relative, fewer past pass available to you but more attractions for which you can get fast passes.

We are actually buying a car right now. Reading something (a review, an article, whatever) that says the car only seats 5 does make us move on (upon confirming that that is the actual specification from the company) That the car seats 5 is a fact, not an opinion. There's no need to test drive the car at that point, because 5 seats doesn't fit our needs.

If the review is just opinions, I bypass it just like I do negative reviews of movies.

Credibility...dissolving. Seriously, this is a positive? Have you seen what they offer FP for now? EO, Imagination, Small World, Tough To Be a Bug?

Here is a list for MK. How many of these could you get before?

But those new attractions added to the list don't need FP.

It's like saying "Disney added 50 more tables to Marrakesh."

Yep you are right. I am considering going back to universal and staying deluxe in the off season. Less that 200 a night with taxes and front of the line with a bunch of new attractions I haven't seen sounds more and more attractive.

I would give you a thumbs up if I could.

Good night all, enjoy Universal. As I hope to in a couple of weeks.

Maybe after I try the new FP+ system at WDW I will have the same opinion as you do.
