Disney Promotion Dates

We had booked our trip in September for June 13 to 19 with AAA, since there were not any available discounts at the time for those dates.

I was excited to see the new room only discount that begins on June 15. What I didn't realize is that Disney will not give you the discounted room rates if you are arriving prior to those dates, but go into those dates.

We are unable to change our reservation dates. Is there any other way around this to get this discount?

If you're more than 45 days out, you could change your ressie for June 13-15 and than make a new ressie starting June 15 with the discount.

Since you can't alter your trip dates, the only way to get the discount is to book 2 separate reservations. You could modify the AAA reservation to include 6/13-6/15 and then book under the new promo for 6/15-6/19. If you have a package with tickets under AAA, get your tickets with that ressie to cover the entire trip. The only problem you will run into is if you have/want the DDP for the whole trip. In order to get that for the entire time, you would have to buy at least a 1 day park ticket for each ressie in order to get the dining plan. If you do book 2 reservations, have them linked together and have it noted that you would like to keep the same room. It is not guaranteed that you will be able to keep the same room, but Disney will do everything they can to accommodate you. Good luck .

I posted a similar issue in the thread titled "Did I get ripped off?" We booked our trip back in January for 6/13-6/20, but our problem is a little more complicated because our reservation is linked to two others since we're travelling with a large group and can't change our dates.

I would definitely call and do two seperate reservations as PP suggested. As long as you link the two together and do your check-out/back in very early that morning, you should get to stay in the same room. Not a guarantee, but a very good chance. Good luck!
