Disney Princess Question

Awesome! Thanks, BigGreen!

This was taken in 2007. We were celebrating our anniversary and were met at the door by Snow White and because of our anniversary, they all decided to take a group pic with us. It was fun. Yes, the princess interact on the castle shows (Cinderellabration), but I see them interact with each other at normal meet and greats and character meals as well. They interact and play quite often at the Akershus breakfast at Epcot when passing each other or when going out back for something. Hope the pic helps. :thumbsup2

I wish I could help, but the only picture I have (I'd have to scan it) is one of me with Mickey and MInnie- no princesses.

However, I want to know at what college (and for what degree) do you take a Deconstructing Disney class? I think that would be a lot of fun!

Hi Belle_princess,

This class is actually an elective at Clayton State University in Morrow, GA. The college is on the smaller side (only 6,000 total students), but it makes the class much more intimate and fun. I'm a Communication/Media major and this class counts as a film analysis class. We watch 1-2 films a week and have a reading to go along with the film. Then in class we discuss the films in light of the readings and talk about how age, gender, race, sexuality, etc are shown in the film(s) of the week. It's probably one of the most fun classes I've had in college.

We were at HS and my dd was posing next to a tree when all of a sudden this group of princesses walked up to her.

Belle grabbed her hand walked her to an open area and they all posed together for a piture with my dd.
After this they all went to different areas for separate autograph sessions. It was a magical memory for all of us.

Aww. That's super sweet. Thanks for the pic. I think I'm going to send this whole thread to my professor. :goodvibes

Reminds me of the class on Film Noire I took at Northwestern a .... few.... years ago! :thumbsup2

Have fun with it!

Okay, here's the one I have of Cinderella and Aurora talking. This is at CRT in 2005. And my DD11 corroborates my thinking that they will talk about the others as their friends.

Interesting topic!

Thanks so much bjscheel! That picture is absolutely perfect. princess:

The name of the DIS member with all the princesses together in his signature is bradk. I remember because my daughter asked where he found all those princesses together in one place! Hope this helps! :goodvibes

:offtopic:but I have to ask...I went all through your photos...

How many dresses/costumes does your daughter own?
How often do you go to Disney?
How do you get such fantastic pics???

I mean poor snow white and the queen, Lady Tremaine, the red queen with the tweedles. How do you do it??? Once upon a time, when the characters roamed free (without set schedules and cm body guards) I used to have tons of interactions. Pluto pushed my grandmother's wheel chair for over a half hour one day in September 1998 and stayed with her while we rode the intense rides she couldn't ride, but that was then. Times have changed. :sad2:

I thought all of those pictures were incredible. Those dresses/costumes were amazing! Wow.

I think one of the posters here has a really good picture of all of the princesses in his signature. Don't quote me on this, but I think the s/n is BradK or something similar. Maybe you can ask him if it's ok to use it?

All the princess's got together in NYC to Offically Welcome Princess Tiana nad prince Naveen. These events are rare but they do happen!:woohoo:

The princess do talk to each other and constantly talk about "My friend Belle" Or" My friend Aurora". As a Character attendant I can't count how many times I have heard a princess ask a little girl if she was in 'her friends _____ closet" Ariel loves to talk about how her friend Belle loves to read and has lend her many books. How her friend Cinderella is always loosing a shoe etc, etc. Name any two princess and I have heard her them talking about "her friend..."

There are many reasons why the princess don't stand toguether but it's not because we don't want to mix the story lines. However,it's not unheard off. In fact I've seen and taken many pictures where they have stood toguether. Last year we had Aurora and Snow White stand toguether because we had nobody to attend to Aurora. Someone in this forum has a picture where all the Princess stand toguether when they welcome Tiana to the Disney Princess brand. It's on their signature so if someone remembers who it is please post it.

Characters that don't stand toguether are the ones that have a story line that do not cross paths in any way. For example: Pooh characters and Jungle book characters. However Pooh can stand toguether with Rabbit and it's quite alright. He can't however stand toguether with Baloo or with Meeko from Pocahontas. I hope I'm explaining that well.

I don't mean to be rude and please accept my apologies if it sounds that way. It's quite surprising to me that a professor is teaching a class of 'deconstructing' Disney and has a simple fact so wrong. It makes me wonder what else is he getting wrong in that class and still teaching it. More disconcerting is the fact that you all are paying for it. Again my apologies if I was rude but I just find that so wrong.

Thanks for the information. Not everyone is perfect and we all make mistakes some times. I think she just meant as a general rule, the princesses don't interact outside their storylines. The class has been very informative on the whole. I just wanted to see if there were examples of where the "no princess interaction" rule was broken (because there are exceptions to every rule).
P.S. I don't think you were rude, just stating your opinion.

Here's another one where they definitely were all talking to each other. We were lucky enough to be the last in line to see the Princesses at Toontown the last night of DD's first visit to WDW. She had begged to say goodbye to Cinderella before we went home, so we ran there and the CM at the entrance waved us in and shut the rope behind us. After DD (then 2) had her individual meet and greet with each of the princesses, they all came out together and talked to her and made a huge fuss over her and gave her hugs goodnight and told her goodbye. It was a very special Disney moment and an incredible way to end our trip!

Just adding another counter point aside from the park experience.

The Kingdom Hearts franchise is built upon the cross-pollination and interactions of the Disney story lines.

I don't know how to post pics but we have a picture taken in MKs toontown of my children with Belle, Aurora, and Cinderella all at the same time. We saw them each individually then because we were the last family left in the room, they all got together and did a special pose for us. I don't remember what they were saying to each other but the princesses definitely were talking to each other during this. I remember them asking my husband and I to pose with them too and feeling like such a slob next to them.

Here is a picture of our 3 girls each posing with their favorite princesses 5 Princesses in all with their princes, Fairy Godmother, Cindy's dad, etc. after the Cinderellabration Castle show - yes we did know a CM (he had been a student of DHs') who was dancing in the show.

And another awesome shot of all 7 dwarfs on the same visit -we just got lucky with this one.
