This shot is definitely doable without using HDR. Maybe just try to learn a few simple techniques with whatever program you have. Trust me, you don't have to do something totally advanced.

Thanks Scott. I have PSE and PS to still put back on my computer (I have no idea what versions they are) and I have the Canon software that came with my camera. I just starting to get brave enough to fiddle a bit more with the Canon Digital Professional. I really have no idea how to use any of the PS stuff. DH got me a PS for Dummies book but even that seems to be out of my league. Sometime when I have more time I would love to take a PS class they offer at the local community college. It's not for credit but more of a just learn how to use it kind of class.

My DH as an HDR app for his iphone. That really pisses me off for some reason. He thinks it's so cool and I'm just like, "yeah, I know, I've only tried explaining to you what HDR is a 100 times and now you go and get some stupid app. "
