YEA!!! My new camera came in this morning! Canon PowerShot A570 IS! 7MPS,, Hopefully I`ll have some great pics to post here when I come back in Sept! Thanks for all the great ideas!

I'm baaack! 10 days of happiness and now depression! Thank God for these boards to help me through! Big news: DBF is now DFiance! (He thinks I'm kidding when I say I want to get married in WDW!) Anway, I have tons of new pics and am so happy to be adding once again!

I'll start with my first ride on the Jungle Cruise since I was a kid.

This poor guy couldn't get a laugh and he knew it! He kept turing to us and giving us looks like, "I'm bombing!" I tried to laugh a lot to make him feel better but to be honest, he really wasn't that funny!

I have finally decided that instead of me trying to purchase and use a digital camera, that one of you should just follow my family and I around the parks/resorts and take our photo's for us!!!

The pictures are so crisp and clear, it feels like I am right there!!!

Thanks for posting them, it makes work a little more fun.

A firework one - i was pleased with how this one turned out cos normally my firework ones are rubbish!

Nothing spectacular about this pic, but I thought I'd share it anyway. I learned, after noticing it open from the MS Train Station, that you can waltz right in there and take pictures and talk to the CM working in there. There's all kinds of horse care equipment in there and some other *turn of the century* auto stuff in there that's pretty interesting... Just thought I'd share that with anybody that's interested.

WOW Thanks for thinking of me and am honored to be in the same sentence as YECKIM and JC but I'm still learning.

I got my DSLR @ X-mas and with the help of many, many Disers and my hero's ; Gdad, WeLuvDsny, Dznefreek, O Joe, brack, YECKIM, JC, Lovin Life and sooooo many others ...took all thier advice and got some decent shots. Remember for every 1 good one, there are many, many bad ones!!

SO.....Get that camera and shoot, shoot, shoot

But..certainly... I would most definitely take you up on the offer
Hey... I have my yearly solo trip planned for May 7th through May 21st and "nothing to do" but enjoy myself and take pics!!!!

That is the best advice anyone can give to help take better photos.

With a digital camera there is no reason to not take a lot of photos so ....... shot, shot, shot and shot somemore.

That is the best advice anyone can give to help take better photos.

With a digital camera there is no reason to not take a lot of photos so ....... shot, shot, shot and shot somemore.

That;s what I love about digital. The only thing that holds you back is the size of your memory and your battery life. Other that that, shoot away!!! We came back from our WDW trip in may with almost 800 photos and over 1 1/2 hours of video on our Sony Cybershot SD card.

This is a very good picture. Great job. I do agree, fireworks can be a hit or miss when it comes to taking a good shot.

Yes this was with the Sigma 10-20mm lens. Really enjoy using it in WDW

Joking aside I really appreciate the comments - between them and the inspiration I get from the phots posted by Joe, Senecabeach, Yeckim etc I can't wait to get back to WDW and take more !

GDAD-SCARY PIC

Mine just got here yesterday. Canon A630. 8 MP. It is way more camera than I need, but I am just tickled to pieces about it.
We were playing with it all last evening.
I also got a 1 Gig memory card. I am thinking between dd's camera and mine, we should have plenty pics of WDW to share.

I will probably ask this on the photo board, but any opinions on what to set the pic quality at.
I lowered it to M2 - which is supposed to support a 5 x 8 enlargement, and the 2 higher choices support a 8.5 x 11 and a 16 x 23 (the best possible).
Am I crazy to think that for snapshot photo albums that the 5x8 would be plenty enough to allow for cropping?

This is all new to me, but I am really excited of the possibilities.
