why no flash? i have the same shot just from the other side. were you as disappointed as i was that the real explosion comes so late? i guess it has to, but what a letdown! i wanna be in the middle area when that car comes through.

I agree, it is a great opportunity, but don't people already in the Park early (i.e., breakfasts, tours, etc.) normally get chosen? My thoughts were that if you weren't in there early for "something," you chances of getting picked were relatively slim (i.e., same thing for waking Tink up).

Good question, I guess I just assumed the family chosen would just be a family there 45 min or an hour before opening at the gate.

when they pick a family, it's at the gate. if you're there for an 8:05 breakfast, you're not getting done to open the park.

on the magic behind the steam trains tour, we got picked up at the main street station by the lily belle which we learned is the train that performs the shows (the first couple of cars are modified in that it has no side wall on the left side, so characters and everyone can step out on the floral side (but we rode on the back of the train, guess that's why). normally she'll do the tour and the show and that's it. sometimes they use her during the day, but that's the exception. so basically she picked us up, took us to the roundhouse and i guess headed over to the toontown train station where the water tower is and picks up everyone.

The picture was taken in Aug . We were at the gates about 45 mins early and my wife asked if we could be the family of the day the Cm she asked went to her boss and came back and said no they had one all ready about 15 mins later after thinking no problem we just talked and had fun with the cm's, the boss came out and asked if we would be the family of the day. We were at magic kingdom 5 days later and were talking with the cm's and we were asked if we would be the family of the day . We said that we had done it earlier in the week and that they should give another lucky family the fun.

So glad to hear from you! My daughter & I speak of you often, wondering where you have been and how things are going. And of course we remember Spud! We still chuckle, thinking about when he got sick!!

OMG...It's The Trashman and Princess Fontaine. Anybody remember us? We're still alive. Little Ariel Fontaine is almost here with us(07/20/07). PF is doing great and as of 8 months; has had a completely problem free pregnancy. I really can't wait to show all my Dis friends our new addition. I bet Spud's gonna be jealous(I'm sure noone remembers Spud either, do they?) Anyway...I had a spare minute and wanted to post one of my favorite pictures from One Man's Dream. I am actually going to be getting this tattooed on me at some point but I haven't figured out the correct placement as of yet. We'd love to hear from you all. Take care. See ya real soon!!
