Awww, thanks so much :goodvibes ... Honestly, if you have $500 to spend, I would go with the Sony DSC-H9. It looks to be (haven't had any 1st hand experience with it) an awesome camera. It is in the same line as what I shoot with, the Sony DSC-H2. And 15X optical zoom... holy moly.

P.S. I'm anything but a pro. I just started taking pictures as a hobby in Oct 06. Honestly... The Sony DSC-H2 makes it easy to get great pictures.

Hey Joe~I went out and bought the DSC-H2 two weeks ago because of your pictures! It was on a terrific sale! If my pictures turn out anywhere close to yours, I'll be thrilled! Thanks for the recommendation!.

My kids with the Meet the Robinsons stars....notice my son has on the pink hat and my daughter has the red/gray hat....Lewis switched them before they took the picture!!!

If you don't mind me asking, where did you see the Meet the Robinsons crew? I'd love to see them!

I tried to take both shots as close as possible.

I tried to merge them using my photostitch program, but it didn't work. Next time try overlapping the shots more and you can use software to combine them. The way they are now, the software doesn't have enough common reference points to merge them properly.

One more question please sir. Have you had any luck with fireworks shots with your DSC-H2? I was reading the link on the H9 and it lists fireworks as one of its scene modes (along with advanced sports shooting which would be great for DS & DD's soccer games). Wondering if your has been good with these sorts of live action or dark action shooting?

Thanks again!

Was it raining??
No, those were just the sparks from the fireworks that were blowing away! But it looks like rain:rotfl2:

Beautiful!!

Just curious- do they play the Wishes music during the fireworks when you're watching them from the Polynesian? :)

We heard the music but it was not very loud, I think they play it around the actual building. We were probably 25 feet away from the building. Thanks for the comment.

This little turtle looked like he got 'stranded' out on that rock! This was in the Oasis section of AK...

HaHa I've heard about that book...
It sounds strange. Really strange. But I would have been real freaked out if I didn't have my three year old with me :rotfl2: ... There's just something about being alone in a place where there're usually hundreds if not thousands of people.

I can understand that, a 3 year old is the kind of person you coulkd have you along that reminds you even in the silence that youare still in the Magic Kingdom.. BTW> you should check out Kingdom Keepers.. its a WILD RIDE!

Too Cool, My son was kinda disapointed cause when we went only Bowler Hat Guy was out.. His was consoled a few moments later though when he realized Mr. Incredible was out :)
