We normally stay DVC or Deluxe so this obviously applies to us. I definitely don't have a problem with Disney offering perks to on-site guests. The thing to remember is they aren't taking away from off-site, but adding hours for on-site. At least right now. Differentiating between types of resort is something I don't think we've seen a lot of though. I don't have a huge problem with it though.

It's not fair that on site guests pay a great deal more to be on site and not get perks for doing so. It used to be you got what you paid for. Right now, not so much. On site got their early entry slashed to half an hour. The least Disney can do is make it every day.
But park tickets cost the same for everyone so no, on property is not paying more for the parks. With hotels having FP priority and now every park having early park entry, off property guests do not have the same opportunity to ride rides.

Now if FP comes back different than how it was before shut down, like everyone has equal opportunity day of to get passes or everyone has to pay to have then I'm more ok with the early park entry. IF they had early park entry like it was before shut down, I'm ok with that too as in a weeks time there was always an opportunity to have equal access. Not so much anymore.

If they want to charge off property less for their tickets then I'd be ok with that too.

Exactly... and being raised in an Italian household, I was shocked at how good the mozzarella and tomato was, and it was my daughter's introduction to cannolis, and she hasnt stopped talking about them since !!
Honestly I was prepared to be let down. Glad I was wrong 🤣

Yikes, I'm not sure if I like that this is only available to deluxe resort guests. We usually stay deluxe, but I just feel like this doesn't seem right. All resort guests should have this benefit.
It is not super surprising , they took away so many on site perks. They had to do something to entice. Universal does it with their express pass being included with their deluxe hotels. I think this makes sense

Wow, they're really changing the on site perks. We never stay on site, would rather save the ton of money by staying in a condo with full kitchen which saves on room & food. Without FP+, really not seeing much perk at all to staying onsite.

But you can get a deluxe resort at universal for the price of a Disney moderate. And you can still buy express pass separately. You can’t buy evening EMH.

But they are taking away from off site in that there will be no opportunity to get ahead of the crowd, ever.

and early entry is only for ONE park not both and also includes Annual Pass holders.

I understand that. I just meant it makes sense to try to start bringing back perks for on site guests. I did not say I agree with it . They also might release more perks

Ohhhh! I hope this applies to DVC stays. My thought is that technically, it should since they are "deluxe" accommodations... but I'm also not holding my breath.

IMO it is fair so long as it does not take away regular park hours from value/mod/offsite guests. Ex. if MK closes at 9 and these hours start after 9, great. If MK suddenly closes early (like a party night) to most people because of them... uh oh.
That’s what I was wondering b/c we will be staying DVC. Does it give a date? I couldn’t open the link.

You save a bundle by staying off site. We spend a lot more and get perks you don't get, or at least we did. If you like those perks, pay for them. And Disney is a business. It has nothing to do with being fair. It has to do with encouraging guests to give them more of their money. If they didn't give on site guests a reason to pay those prices, no one would. While I think the YC is beautiful, it's not $700 a night beautiful.

It’s garbage that the early entry is being held off until Oct 1. I realize their offerings for the 50th are crap but come on.

And don’t even get me started on EMH only being for deluxe. 😡😡😡

Exactly this. With traditional rope drop returning, I was really hoping the Early Entry would start for our trip in July. And agreed about the evening EMH being only for Deluxe.

Agreed. I love the Polynesian for so many reasons, but are the room and grounds worth $700+ a night? Of course not. We all know that staying in the Disney bubble and some of the perks that go with it are built into that cost. And extra magic hours were a thing not long ago, so this is really not that ground breaking.
