We were happily surprised after we tried it March ‘19. $60 for 3 of us and it came with salad, apps, pizza, pasta and dessert. Felt like such a bargain for a sit down in WDW and the food was all very fresh and yummy. Love it to return!

Exactly... and being raised in an Italian household, I was shocked at how good the mozzarella and tomato was, and it was my daughter's introduction to cannolis, and she hasnt stopped talking about them since !!

Yikes, I'm not sure if I like that this is only available to deluxe resort guests. We usually stay deluxe, but I just feel like this doesn't seem right. All resort guests should have this benefit.
I was just thinking this. One the one hand, it’s kind of nice to have an extra benefit when you’re spending that much money, but on the other hand, it’s super unfair to the people who can’t afford to spend that much, and I hope it isn’t too many nights that value, moderate, and offsite guests are blocked out from later evening hours.

Yeah as someone who doesn’t stay at deluxe resorts this doesn’t help me out. I can get making the offering something for those paying a premium to stay on property though, just stinks for every other resort guest.

It does answer the question though of if Disney would consider limiting perks based on the level of resort you stay at and the answer is obviously yes.

I have no problems with them making perks resort level specific. It's always puzzled me why someone paying$100 a night (pre covid prices) would get the same perks as someone paying $800 a night.

We usually stay at a Deluxe, more often a DVC resort, but not this time 1) Availability but more importantly 2) There's just not much benefit to being on site so I picked the cheapest that would fit our needs. Should they add some perks that's resort specific before our trip that I really want (shhhhhh....FP+) I'd change in a heartbeat.

Ohhhh! I hope this applies to DVC stays. My thought is that technically, it should since they are "deluxe" accommodations... but I'm also not holding my breath.

IMO it is fair so long as it does not take away regular park hours from value/mod/offsite guests. Ex. if MK closes at 9 and these hours start after 9, great. If MK suddenly closes early (like a party night) to most people because of them... uh oh.

I just read somewhere that it’s all Deluxe Resorts and all Deluxe Villa resorts.

I’m new to DVC but I’m assuming the villas are DVC right? Correct me if I’m wrong please.

It said deluxe and deluxe villas, so that would include DVC, right? I doubt they can tell the difference between a DVC booking at BCV (for example) and a cash booking just scanning your magic band at the park.

Yes, the Disney Deluxe Villa Resort hotels are the DVC resorts.

It said deluxe and deluxe villas, so seems like yes for DVC!

I totally skimmed over where the article mentioned villas ;) Awesome!

You guys are fast!!

It said villas so I would think yes.

I really don't' like that early entry is every park, every day. It's not fair to off property guests. If they do it like Universal where it's just certain areas of the park I'd more ok with it. Like just open Fantasyland or whatever. That way off property gets some sort of equal opportunity to ride at least some of the rides.

But if the point is to incentivize staying on property (which frankly with the lack of FP+ and the delayed return of the dining plan they need to do, because the current perks are lacking to say the least), why would Disney want to make it fair to off-property guests? If you want the extra xyz, pay Disney $ directly to stay on property. They would far rather someone stay at an All Star than the Days Inn because that is money in their pocket. It makes sense from a business standpoint.

Equal opportunity? This isn’t a government or a charity. It’s a business and you have to pay to play. Pay for a disney resort, get perks (we hope the perks are good enough always). Don’t pay for a disney resort, then enjoy Disney parks at regular hours like everyone else can. That’s just most things in life though, not just Disney.
