They probably saw how much bad press these prices were getting. I was driving the other day and the radio station I was listening to that's MD based was talking about the Cake Shop and absolutely mocking these prices.Rumor is Disney put pressure on them to lower prices, too

I still can't get over how many will scoff at these prices but have no problem paying the outrageous prices for mediocre food at character meals. They probably saw how much bad press these prices were getting. I can't get over the $9 iced tea. That's beyond delusional.
So...how about if they add characters to this restaurant. Would that help?I still can't get over how many will scoff at these prices but have no problem paying the outrageous prices for mediocre food at character meals.
No wouldn't make a difference. All I'm saying is many are saying this is over priced yet character meals are just as bad but nobody says anythingSo...how about if they add characters to this restaurant. Would that help?

Disney's Hollywood Studios Adjusts Morning Entry Procedure: What You Need to Know
Guests visiting Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World are in for a change in the morning entry procedure. The park has just updated its process for guests arriving ahead of its official opening time, making early entry more accessible for all parkgoers. Here's a breakdown of what has changed and what it means for your day at the park.
For a scheduled 9:00 am opening, all guests—including non-resort guests—are now allowed through the tap styles starting at 8:00 am. Previously, this early entry privilege was only offered to Disney Resort hotel guests, while non-resort guests were held at the main entrance before the tap points until park opening time. With the new procedure, everyone can get past the initial checkpoint earlier, providing more time to enjoy the Hollywood Studios atmosphere before the attractions open.
Once inside the park, there are three designated checkpoints for resort guests participating in the Early Entry benefit: one on Sunset Boulevard, one on Grand Avenue for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, and one at the entrance to Toy Story Land. Resort guests can pass through these checkpoints and join attraction lines ready for the 8:30 am start of Early Entry, while non-resort guests are held at these points until the official park opening time at 9:00 am.
Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway is located before any of the checkpoints, and guests are able to enter the line if staying at a Disney resort hotel.
This update marks a return to the pre-pandemic experience, where all guests could enter the park before opening.
I'm going to take a wild guess and say that you are staying onsite. I suspect those staying offsite may feel differently.Experienced this this morning. It was so much better the old way!
Oh I agree. If I were staying offsite; I would much prefer this, but it's certainly a disadvantage to their onsite guests.I'm going to take a wild guess and say that you are staying onsite. I suspect those staying offsite may feel differently.
I like to go in early December because it's less crowded and one gets the holiday decor but it seems that more and more people are wanting to travel in these cooler monthsNew Record High 2025 Ticket Prices at Disney World!
Walt Disney World has increased ticket prices for 1-day, multi-day, base and Park Hopper options for November and December 2025, hitting new peak season record highs! This post has pricing for 2024 vs. next year, details on the increases, and commentary offering our thoughts.
The turnstiles open an hour prior, and the attractions only start 30 minutes prior. That's plenty of time. In the other three parks, the checkpoints are not particularly congested--I don't see why that would be any worse here.I can see losing time to wade through the offdsite people standing at the check site
Experienced this this morning. It was so much better the old way!
Whoops! I meant to say that the new way is so much better THAN the old way! I posted that on the run and somehow that critical word disappeared, ugh. So sorry!
Yeah, it was much easier to allow everyone to enter the park, and then scan resort guests at the entrance to the lands where the open attractions are. Like it’s done at MK. This was definitely a positive change!
