You're not paying for the food there. You're paying for your kids interactions with the characters, and they joy it brings them. The food? Very few people care. It's just something to do while waiting for characters to come to your table.

I went a few times as a kid, and the best memories I had were interacting with Donald Duck and Goofy at one of these places. It was sheer joy for the 1-2 minutes I had. I still have those pictures. I don't remember what food I ate, it never mattered. The memories matter.

We have done many over the years and just don't find them worth the cost. My kids enjoy seeing them in the parks just as much.

I don't think the character interactions are even that good at most of the character dining. Most its rushed and cramped. Garden grill and Topplinos are great though, but most of them you can get better interactions in the park.

Yes character meals are are expensive, the food quality varies & sometimes you are rushed
but when your “character loving family member” is asked to dance with Anastasia, priceless memory.

We ate at Chef Mickey's during our first trip. Goofy went nose-to-nose with our 6-month-old and made him giggle uncontrollably. Goofy kept coming back to make him laugh - it was absolutely adorable. 7 years later and it's our tradition to go there during every trip.

The boards will be shut down for a move starting at 1AM Eastern Time on Monday June 20th. They are expected to be back up by 11:00AM Monday. Details- We have used the Xenforo software for succesfully for many years. We have decided to move to their servers so Xenforo will not only be supplying the software but taking care of issues, maintanence and upgrades. We believe this will help us increase performance and resolve issues. I will start a thread in the tech support board for any questions! Alex

MagicBand+ Instructions Posted for Batuu Bounty Hunters Game Coming to Galaxy’s Edge

Guests will tap their MagicBand+ to accept a job and then follow a haptic and visual signal on their MagicBand+ that will act as a hot/cold system to guide them to their bounty. When they have completed the game, they will go to a nearby door to collect credits.

Here’s a look at the door, which will feature the eyes of the Guildmaster and an interaction when you scan your MagicBand+.

I have those same memories & pics from my past trip as DS (4) gave Mickey the longest hug I’ve ever seen him give anyone (including ME) for free (except for park ticket cost) in a regular meet & greet. And we also enjoyed a wonderful meal at LeCellier that evening.

Celebrate 40 Years of ‘TRON’ with an EXCLUSIVE Disney Dance Party



In celebration of Tron’s 40th Anniversary and San Diego Comic Con, D23 is hosting an exclusive event at the House of Blues San Diego!

D23 Derezzed — A TRON 40th Dance Party will take place on July 21st, 2022 from 8PM to 11PM (doors open at 7:30PM) and is expected to be a “party of the programs” with light snacks and sweets, a lightband, and commemorative keepsake as well!

Tickets go on sale June 21st, 2022 at 10AM PT on the D23 website and will be $45 for D23 Gold Members and $65 for D23 General Members. Guests are encouraged to wear their most futuristic frocks! Each member can purchase up to 8 tickets for the party, and not every person in your party has to be a member.
