I get that, but Tron has been such a massive and visible construction project for so long, it would have been silly for them to say nothing and act like nothings happening
I realize that but I was referring more to the fact that Disney loves to announce projects years in advance when they won't begin building them for another 2-3 years. A recent example being the Princess and the Frog retheme for Splash. Was announced in 2020 and won't begin construction until at least next year.

With velosacoaster I recall them moving the actual dinosaurs into the park and universal social media saying it’s a churro cart lol

To be fair I think they prematurely announced the retheme with it planned to of been announced at the next big d23 that was scheduled for 2021 but delayed till this coming September… I think a lot of the civil rights stuff that bubbled to the surface in summer 2020 caused things to be announced early as a faction of the community was making change dot org petitions to change the ride from SotS to PatF and Disney just was forced into saying “well actually we are in the preliminary phases of doing just that”

BREAKING:

‘The Princess and The Frog’ Splash Mountain Replacement Will Open in 2024 at Disneyland, Magic Kingdom

After a fair amount of silence on the project, actress Anika Noni Rose (who voices Tiana in The Princess and the Frog) announced today on Live with Ryan and Kelly that Disney plans to open the Splash Mountain replacement attraction at Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom in 2024.

Disney hasn’t announced a closing date for the classic Splash Mountain at either park, but it was suspected that the information was coming at the D23 Expo 2022 in September.
Super excited for this ♡♡♡♡♡

Good Morning Everyone!! Happy Friday!! 🥳

Summer is just around the corner and I know everyone is ready to take advantage of the beautiful weather!! Vacations, cookouts and pool parties are without a doubt in our future! So much to look forward to… but you have to do things the right way! Here’s some advice to help you have a successful summer! Let’s get right to it!!

Ahh, summer! The perfect time of year for relaxing by the beach or catching some waves!

A stroll or jog on the beach can be nice way to enjoy a summer morning. Some call it a holy experience. Not the religious kind.

Pool parties! We all love them! But a quick word of advice… the saying “when you gotta go, you gotta go” does not apply in this situation.

Drinking ice cold adult beverages are a fun way to cool off this summer. You can definitely have a few… just make sure you drink responsibly.

If you plan on playing drinking games, such as beer pong, make sure you cut your friend Karen off early. They don’t call her Kamikaze Karen for nothing!!

Dancing with your friends is probably one of the most fun things you can do over the summer!! Don’t be shy, get out there and show everyone your best dance moves! And remember, they’re laughing with you, not at you. I think.

If you plan to have a cookout, remember that grills are used to cook your food, not showboat. Don’t accept that dare from your friend who says he bets you can’t jump over the grill. Also, if you fail, don’t be dramatic. Get right up and admit you failed. Just cook.

And last but not least, if you feel like you just need to get away, don’t be afraid to try something different! Be adventurous and throw yourself out there! Life’s too short to sit around all summer and do nothing!

I hope you all have the best summer! We got this guys! 🤣💃🏻

Guests looking to skip the wait for the new Finding Nemo: The Big Blue…and Beyond! show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be able to do so beginning June 13th. According to Disney, the new show will be added to the Disney Genie+ service on June 13th.

As a reminder, Disney Genie+ is a $15/person bundle of offerings that allows guests to skip the line at some of their favorite attractions and experiences.

Expedition Everest, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure May Remain as Standard Genie+ Attractions Past August 8th

If we look at the Lightning Lane lineup for EPCOT and Disney’s Animal Kingdom, we can see that a recent change was made to the Disney World website that removes Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and Expedition Everest from the Individual Lightning Lane header and moves them into the general Disney Genie+ bucket of attractions and experiences. They do still retain the asterisks that denote a temporary move, but neither Space Mountain nor Runway Railway were literally demoted to Genie+.
