I also think WebSlingers at DCA is a cheap overlay of Midway Mania. Part of it is I remember how innovative Imagineering was. Other then Rise, I not impressed lately. The coaster industry has been more impressive to me with all the inovation they have been doing.
It's not an overlay at all, it's a new spin on the technology, the tech changed, so they created a ride that went with it. My kids (4/7) were way more excited to do Webslingers a second time (and didn't mind waiting an hour to do so) than to do Midway Mania. They are both fun rides, and the themeing for both are appropriate and I found very engaging.

Parking Lot Resurfacing Project Begins Today at Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park

As part of an ongoing refurbishment project, the parking lot of Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park will be resurfaced in phases starting today (Thursday, June 2). While this work is expected to be completed by the end of next week, the schedule is subject to change without notice as it could be impacted by adverse weather conditions.
During that time, select parking spots located at the northern end of the property will continue to be available to Guests as overflow parking for Disney's Winter Summerland Miniature Golf . Since Guests would have to walk through a construction zone to reach the miniature golf course, the Walt Disney World Resort will provide transportation between the attraction and the parking lot from 10 a.m.-10 p.m. daily.

Transportation will run continuously and will be handled by Mears. Here's a map of the route (highlighted in red):

As a reminder, Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park is still closed for refurbishment. No reopening date has been announced yet.

I'll believe it when I see it. It is taking 5 years to for them to duplicate Tron in MK. Having said that, the theming fits so well in DL (still not sold on MK), it will be a great addition :)
To be fair, they’re building Tron from the ground up, whereas Splash just needs a retheme (and maybe some maintenance to stop the boats from sinking on occasion 😆)

It still seems weird to me how they're taking so long to build a coaster that already exists in Shanghai Disneyland. I would understand if it's something completely new, but this is just a clone of a ride in another park.

Apparently, any unique attractions from the Shanghai (maybe Hong Kong and Paris as well but completely sure about them) cannot open in the US parks until after 5 years because of contracts. That's why Tron took so long to take off as it was not allowed to open until 2021, then Covid has pushed it back a bit. (OffHand Disney did a good video about this) Hopefully we'll get an opening time frame soon, probably as D23 😀

That makes a lot of sense and does explain a lot. Personally I would prefer if Disney did what Universal does in terms of announcing new rides in that they don't say anything until they're a year or two out from completion. Universal did that with Velocicoaster and I wish Disney did that with Tron.

Vote For New Disney Churro Flavors To Celebrate National Churro Day

To celebrate National Churro Day on June 6, I’m excited to announce that, starting today, fans can vote for which exclusive limited-time churro flavors they would like to see offered at Sunshine Churros at Disney Springs and California Churro at Downtown Disney District. Each location will offer three unique flavor creations – many inspired by popular fan feedback – which fans can vote on. Based on the final polling results, the most voted on flavor from each location will be available for purchase for a limited time June 6 through June 12.

Before you cast your vote, let’s take a closer look at what delicious churro flavors we have to choose from.

Definitely, let the vloggers hype that something unannounced is happening, then when something is visible announce what it is and when it is opening 😀 I suppose the temporary closures of Tron and the Speedways meant they had to announce Tron as early as they did

Remember AS2!? It was causing the most problems in Toy Story Land when it's essentially Mater's Junkyard Jamboree with a roof. I love Disney, but IDK why it takes so long to build everything compared to Uni. :confused3

I get that, but Tron has been such a massive and visible construction project for so long, it would have been silly for them to say nothing and act like nothings happening

TriceraTop Spin Closing June 13th for Short Refurbishment at Animal Kingdom

According to Disney, TriceraTop Spin will be closing June 13th for a short refurbishment at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

TriceraTop Spin will be closed beginning June 13th and reopening June 18th. The refurbishment is short enough that we don’t expect any significant changes to the ride. Instead, we anticipate that the work is related to maintenance for the attraction.
