Walt Disney Imagineering Files Set Elements Permit for Jessie’s Trading Post in Disney’s Hollywood Studios​

Walt Disney Imagineering has filed a permitto install “set elements” in Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The address on the permit points to Toy Story Mania, but it is likely for Jessie’s Trading Post, the attraction’s new gift shop.
Though an exact location for Jessie’s Trading Post was never announced, the Toy Story Mania store closed in January. The ride’s exit was rerouted around the store and remains that way six months later. The old version of the store had barely any theming nor an official name.

Mighty Thor’s Hammer Drink Vessel Arrives at Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure​

Prove your worthiness with this new “drink vessel” shaped like Mjölnir, the hammer originally wielded by Thor and now used by Mighty Thor (a.k.a. Jane Foster) in “Thor: Love and Thunder.”

The hammer is available from Shawarma Palace in Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure. It includes your choice of Coca-Cola bottled beverage.

The inside of the lid is a translucent teal blue.

There’s a silvery cupholder inside.

Top Of The World Lounge To Offer Nightly Paid Event​

From July 11 through August 11, qualifying Disney Vacation Club members can take advantage of "Wicked Wind Down" at the exclusive lounge. For a fee of $55 per person plus tax and gratuity, members will receive a cocktail, appetizer and "sinfully sweet treat" from the lounge's new menu. The fee also incudes a reserved table inside the lounge and access to a "specially reserved area of the rooftop terrace" during the Magic Kingdom's fireworks presentation.

In order to participate, members must qualify for Membership Magic and have a current reservation at a Disney-owned resort using their DVC points. Contact DVC Member Services in order to make reservations. This offering is subject to daily capacity limits.

Plans call for additional dates to be added. Certain holidays and special events dates may be excluded.

Disney Vacation Club members and prospective members can enter to win a free vacation to Walt Disney World, and all it takes is a few minutes to register on the contest website. Registration earns one entry in the sweepstakes. Viewing of a brief 2 minute promotional clip will yield another 5 entries. A 3-minute overview of Disney Vacation Club is good for 10 more entries.

Upon conclusion of the videos, viewers will be taken to the Discovery Portal where they can learn more about Disney Vacation Club. Optionally, participants can choose to attend a webinar, live chat session or schedule a virtual appointment to further explore the Disney timeshare program.

The grand prize is a 6-day, 5-night stay at Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa for the winner and three guests. The prize includes air transportation and 6-day park hopper tickets, and has an approximate retail value of $12,842.

The contest runs until September 9, 2022 with one grand prize winner chosen on-or-around September 12. The grand prize trip must be booked no later than December 31, 2022, with travel occurring between November 10, 2022 and August 31, 2023.

Celebrate the 40th Anniversary of ‘TRON’ with a New Look at TRON Lightcycle / Run in Magic Kingdom Park​

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the original “TRON,” Walt Disney World has shared a new look at TRON Lightcycle / Run testing at Magic Kingdom.

“Our story picks up following the events of ‘TRON: Legacy,’ whose main character, Sam Flynn, is now opening new gateways into this digital realm at specific locations around the world. The first portal he created is at Shanghai Disneyland with the original TRON Lightcycle Power Run, and now Magic Kingdom guests will get their turn through this second gateway.”

When you enter the attraction’s queue, you’ll feel as if you’re digitized and entering the Grid for a special Lightcycle race alongside your family and friends. You’ll all join Team Blue (hence the color of the wheels in the photo above) for a high-speed launch into a competition against Team Orange. As you swoop and swerve your way around the course, your goal is to be the first to race through eight Energy Gates and secure your victory. Will your team have what it takes?

The fourth dwarf has arrived at Storybook Treats in Magic Kingdom. So far, the Seven Dwarfs Specialty Cone has been available in versions inspired by Grumpy, Doc, and Sneezy. A Dopey-inspired DOLE Whip lime cone is now available for a limited time.
