PHOTOS, VIDEO: Explosive New Changes Come to Gorilla Camp Scene on Jungle Cruise at Magic Kingdom​

It seems the major updates to Jungle Cruise at Magic Kingdom are now complete, with the addition of a few extra effects and the return of the gorillas. New cricket sound effects and other general animal sounds now play when passing the crashed plane, through the beginning of the hippo scene.

Nice! I'm glad they got that old Jeep to turn over.

Darn. Was planning on going that day, but hadn't bought the tickets yet due to the (against corporate policy) not-set-in-stone nature of my work schedule. Maybe I'll be able to go some other time, but I'm not holding my breath.

Construction Work Beginning on July 11 at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside​

Beginning July 11, a refurbishment project (routine construction work on the roofs of select buildings) will begin at Disney's Port Orleans Resort – Riverside. While construction takes place, Guests will be able to see and hear construction work in and around Alligator Bayou during daytime hours, typically from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Construction work will not impact any Guest amenities and is expected to be complete in late September.

Animal Kingdom AND EPCOT Added as Bonus Reservation Parks This Sunday

Annual Passholders looking for a theme park to visit this weekend now have two parks to choose from as both Disney’s Animal Kingdom and EPCOT have been added as Bonus Reservation parks to the same date. We’re not sure if we’ve ever seen two theme parks listed as bonus reservation options on the same date.

As a reminder, Bonus Reservations do not count against the allotment that your Annual Pass type is allowed.

Disneyland Paris Prepares Drone Show for Avengers Campus Grand Opening

Disneyland Paris is getting ready to bring their own version of Avengers Campus to life on July 20th, and it looks like they’re preparing quite a spectacular for the grand opening celebration. Thanks to tweets from @backsideofwat3r, we can see a drone show that will likely light up the sky over Avengers Campus in an upcoming media event. Here’s a look!
Disneyland Paris has not announced any plans for these drones to be used as part of nightly entertainment for Avengers Campus.

Trailer Released for Six-Part Docuseries ‘Light & Magic’ Coming Soon to Disney+​

The six episode series will make its Disney+ debut on Wednesday, July 27th exclusively on Disney+.

Industrial Light & Magic have shared the trailer for “Light & Magic.” This six-part documentary series is about the origins and evolution of the visual effects company, starting with the first “Star Wars” film.

The official Disneyland Instagram account has been taken over by a hacker. It is currently posting media with offensive language.

UPDATE: Disneyland Calls Hacked Posts ‘Reprehensible,’ Security Teams Investigating​

Disney has released an official statement regarding the Disneyland Resort Instagram account being hacked this morning. The hacker posted offensive content with inappropriate language.

UPDATE: In a statement, Disneyland calls the hacked posts that appeared on its social media accounts this morning "reprehensible" and says its security teams are conducting an investigation.

I shared this on the Aulani board, but Hawaii updated their carseat laws to kids UP TO age 10 or 4'10". Pretty significant for many traveling to Aulani with kids under 10

Disney H2O Glow After Hours Event Sold Out on July 9 at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park​

We went to the one on July second at that was also sold out but even then, it wasn’t too crowded. It was a 15 minute wait at most for the slides. They had a dance area set up in the sand with a DJ and dance crew and Mickey, Minnie, goofy, Lilo and Stitch were out dancing on the stage and with the crowd. I think we each ate 4 ice creams and boxes of popcorn. It was a blast and you don’t have to worry about sunscreen. They also had these really cool bubble machines that made bubbles filled with smoke, we had so much fun popping them.

Just a quick note, I saw Thor: Love & Thunder last night and it was pretty great. It's much better than the comics it is based on, though that shouldn't be a surprise - the movie has a few surprises in it though, which is nice. It should please the fans for the most part, especially if you're a Guns-n-Roses fan!

Disneyland Paris Announces Virtual Launch Party for Avengers Campus This Weekend​

Ahead of the grand opening of Avengers Campus at Walt Disney Studios Park on July 20, Disneyland Paris is hosting a virtual launch party this weekend.

The live virtual events on July 9 are a dedication ceremony at 7:40 p.m. and an “Avengers Assemble Moment” at 11:00 p.m. The latter will likely include Avengers Campus characters. These two events will happen across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
