Disney Magic - Dec 10, 2011 - Western Caribbean Cruise - Sun, Fun and Beaches!

It is harder to arrange meets with the scheduled arrival times for the terminal.

This is a good point...What is everyone's port arrival time? We got the 11:00 slot, but my MIL got 11:30, so we'll likely have to board with her.

If everyone has a early time, we could meet just after lunch but before 3:00. Although now that I think about it, I think several of us are coming from WDW resorts, which I think get there later in the day?

It would be fun for us to all go to the sail away party together. That would really get the party started!:banana:

We are coming from the AKL at WDW so dont know what time we will get to the ship! Would love to meet up though if possible!

Wow it's been a long time for me on here. I've been too busy posting on packing threads lol. My group of five are doing the Christmas party on the 9th before the cruise. I know someone else on here was, too! Started packing this weekend and I'm looking forward to no work and warm weather! Although the weather in southern Wisconsin isn't too bad. Just windy out here in the country. Looking forward to meeting you all whenever or wherever.

Sinderelly,

We are going to be there the week before, on the 9th. It would have been fun to meet up! Here is a map of MK specifically for the Christmas Party(if you don't already have it!)

http://www.wdwinfo.com/holidays/photos/MVMCP-map.htm

I am trying to do rides from 4pm to 7pm that are not included in the party and go from there, so this map helps to show what rides are open during the party.

Also, everyone, this is a link to a weeks worth of Navigators from 10/1-10/8
You should be able to see when the some of the activities are held.
(all of you are more computer savy than I am, sorry the links aren't underlined and ready to go. I seem to only be able to copy and paste.)

Looking forward to meeting all of you!!!
Thank you so very much for the map! We didn't have one. I wish we were going on the 9th too. That's the day we'll be flying in so I wasn't sure about going to the party then driving to PC. Have a wonderful time at the party. I don't know if I'm more excited about the party or the cruise! :santa:

We also have an 11:00 am arrival time. So we could be at an earlier meet if that's what everyone decides. :goodvibes

Just curious, are there many of you doing Nachi Cocum in Cozumel?
Anyone else doing NativeWay Ray, Reef and Rum beach tour in Grand Cayman?

DH and I also booked Nachi Cocom! It is the day I am most looking forward to. We added a couple's massage and 30 minutes on Jet Skis (why oh why do I let him talk me into silly ideas like that, I am frightened half to death!)

You know what I'm most worried about? The time. Are there any time zone issues between ship time and port local time and us knowing what "time" it is for excursions and getting back to the ship, etc. I don't know, can someone just tell me I'm being paranoid about all this? We don't own watches, and our phones will be on "plane" mode, so I'm assuming the time won't update at all.

Since this is our first cruise, we don't have a preference on where/when to meet. We have the 11:30 boarding time, so should have plenty of time for whatever is planned.

I am beside myself with distraction over this cruise, and I can't wait till we leave... not happy to leave my work in the hands of others, though, and I'm sure it will simply create additional work when I return, but I am trying to let that go and just be excited. Speaking of work, I should probably get back to it. Between my upcoming vacation and my sister having her baby last week, work is definitely the last thing on my mind these days! Good thing it's slow.

Just got off the phone. Here are our movies:
Toy Story 3 in 3D
Tangled in 3D
Tron Legacy 3D
I am #4
African Cats (my kids saw this and were traumatized forever)
Prom
Pirates on Stranger Tides
Cars 2D and 3D
Winnie the Pooh
The Help
Fright Night
Reel Steel
Gnomeo and Juliet and
THE MUPPETS:goodvibes

We are boarding at 11 a.m. and staying at the Radisson the night before. I am fine with a meet up after the sail away party. Excursions for us include Tuluum and the Seaworld Explorer on Grand Cayman. We are exploring Key West on our own. Can't wait!!!:woohoo:

The free stuff is like jewelry like a pendant and get earrings for five dollars or free gift with purchase. Pick up any of the paperwork before each port. I like to go to the shopping show. We actually looking for a diamond ring for me.
The spa give away is at 3pm and you need to be present to win.

We are not boarding until 1130 group. I didn't realize that I had to register for a boarding time.
the night before we are staying at the Country Inn. I went back and forth between there and the Radisson.
I hope those going to the Christmas party have fun. This will be our first year in five years we have not been able to go.
After the cruise, I was able to get a room at Saratoga Springs and I am hoping to tour the hotels to see the Gingerbread Houses and catch the lights at Hollywood Studios.

I figured i would finally post since the DW has taken over my DISboards obsession.

Hi everyone...

Mike

amyekae,

On the top of each Navigator delivered each night there is a notice to turn your watch ahead or behind one hour. So you may need a watch or an alarm clock to bring with you. I am glad someone else is going. I didn't have any hesitation in booking non-Disney excursions when I booked them but am just a tad apprehensive in getting back to the ship on time!

We are also checking in at the port at 11am. I booked with Vip transport so we have to go from WL to the airport with the Disney shuttle and then get Vip to the port. I am hoping the timing is right to make it to the port at 11.

Thanks for the list of movies!! Wow, so many to choose from! My kids want to see the Muppets and it is so new I am sure 90% of the rest of the cruise does too.

Thank you so much for calling! I've been meaning to do that. So glad we didn't spend $50 seeing the Muppets this past weekend!

I like your screen name. Are you kids hockey players?

The weather in North Central Wisconsin hasn't been too bad either. I'm secretly hoping we come home from the cruise to some snow though. Do you have kids?

Thanks for the movie list, Goaliemom! I've been meaning to call, and now I don't have to!! Looks like a great line up of movies. :3dglasses I read them off to DH and he said, "I think we'll just spend the week in the movie theater and not leave." I don't think so, buddy, we've got Palo reservations!

We're pumped to see the Muppets, too. We've been holding off on seeing it, figuring it would be on the ship. And we were right! WAHOO!

I tell you, between drama with our daycare and stress at work, I CANNOT wait to get on that ship. Looking forward to my biggest worry being what dessert I want to eat first. :)

I don't have kids but I'm traveling with my adult sisters and my sister Tracy (known as sesame-123 here on the dis) has two kids Addie (4 and a half) and Jamie 2. Jamie doesn't say much but he understands everything especially Mickey Mouse and big boat !! We can't wait. :cool1:

This sounds like my two year old, Evie. She's pretty quiet (especially around people she doesn't know) but she LOVES her Mickey Mouse. I'm very curious to see how she reacts around him, she is painfully shy.

I almost forgot to tell you guys! Hazel (DD3) and I were watching the Magic leave via the webcam the other day and as it was going by she yelled out, "Momma, we have to hurry, they're leaving without us!"

:rotfl2::laughing::rotfl::rotfl2:

I told her I felt the same way.

Wow! This thread is hopping!!

My brain keeps running in circles, do this, do that, don't forget this, or that, or........and then add in that this is the crazy week at church leading up to our big cookie sale this weekend. There have been years in the past where I could be at church until 1 or 2 in the morning (of course that was before kids) So complete chaos in my house.

Still trying to finish up the FE gifts and was wondering if anyone has heard anything from MandyO??? I would hate to leave them out but don't really want to drag all there gifts down if we have no where to deliver them to.

As far as the meet onboard, I'm a little concerned about timing if we do it after the sailaway. The sailaway is at 4:30 (according to earlier navigators) and we have early dinner which could start as early as 5:30. So figure 30 mins for sailaway and then 10 min to escape crowd and find meeting place and then dinner at 5:30. would leave about 15 mins to meet. I'm okay with this short meet but maybe we could try for like 2:30. So far it seems like most everyone should be onboard by 1 (the latest boarding time I heard was 12??). As far as where I have never been on the magic so will leave that up to those of you that have. I think someone suggested Promanade lounge??

I would end this with a smilie pulling their hair out but sadly there is not one, or a crazy one, or a stressed one. So this will have to do :dance3: 11 days :cool1:
:banana::dance3::banana:

It looks like everyone is really busy getting ready.
I haven't heard from MandyO at all and have sent her PM's.
We are doing Palo the second night. We did it on our last cruise on the Wonder. DH wasn't to sure, but he made sure I made reservations the night we were eligible.
We didn't see the Muppet movie either because I thought it would be on the cruise. DD is very excited about seeing that movie.
