 We may have to reschedule a trip to Disney. I know the weather can be unbearable in the summer, so we're thinking about September. Does anyone know if the water parks are still open during that time?

Yes the water parks are still open.

September is usually still quite hot and humid in Florida. Water parks are definitely still open!

I went last year the week after Labor Day and it was so hot and humid I almost couldn't fully enjoy my vacation. I would go at the very end of September if I were you.

I went around labor day and it was very nice. Not unbearably hot, but still VERY hot. Great time to take advantage of the waterparks. Most of the time we were there the crowds were light so you didn't have to run around in a mad place trying to ride stuff, we could take LOTS of breaks.

Only thing about September is that it tends to be a bit rainy. It probably rained everyday ( we were also on the outskirts of a Tropical Storm) but it cleared up and there was plenty of time to enjoy the parks.

If you choose September, I don't think you would regret it.

I totally recommend going in September to WDW. In the past, we had usually gone in June/July/August . Last year we went the 2nd week in September and loved it. The crowds are almost non-existent (walked on almost every ride).

The weather, while unpredictable, really isn't that bad. I think it may be bad if you were standing in line or crowds or people, but that was never an issue for us. There was usually always a breeze - but since we got into attractions with ease, we were hardly ever really hot. We carried a small fan around with us, though, which did help in those instances where the heat got to us.

Be prepared for afternoon showers and such, but otherwise, this is a great time of year to visit! (and the water parks are open and also not as busy as during the summer!)

We went late in Sept (23-27) last year, and it was very muggy and a little rainy... we wore our ponchos a lot! BUT-- BOTH water parks (TL and BB) were open! We've only been in Nov before, and only BB (which we love) was open, so this time we had a chance to enjoy TL... Loved it!
Crowds were non-existent. Would definitely go in Sept again!

We usually go in September....it's a GREAT time to go. One year the weather was just lovely, the next it seemed a little hotter, but who cares, because the water parks are most definitely open!
