Hey everyone! Well we just decided that we are going to plan our trip for the 1st week of June. I was just in Disney for the first time ever in August and boy...I was miserable with that heat...We stayed at the Pop Century then but I decided that I wanted to experience the Disney Magic a little differently this time. Fort Wilderness sounded like such a wonderful idea!! Has anyone traveled in June? Is it about the same as it is in August...HOT HOT HOT?!!??

Well, it is hot, but the heat doesn't have quite the intesity that it does in August compounded with the humidity.

You will love the fort!!!!:goodvibes

We go every June usually the first week, and yes it is hot, but not unbearable. We work around the heat. We also work around gay days as they seem to crowd different parks on weekends.

Hi...we have been in June and July and I think June is not as bad as in later in the summer. You will love the Fort! Just so you know..Gay Days is the 7th and 8th at WDW...some people like to schedule around that due to higher crowds, etc...

Hope you have fun, but my DW is right (elastigirlfan :rolleyes1 ). We have been there in June three times. The first time we went, we found out about gay days, and it took us by surprise. Since then we have been a little more prepared and it isn't an issue anymore. WE LOVE going during the Star Wars weekends, so June is definitely our preferred time to visit. It is sometimes in late May and Early June. The weather is much more comfortable, especially for camping.. We are planning on getting there June 12th. :woohoo:

HAVE A GREAT TIME!!

We used to go in August so I know what you mean regarding the humidity. Although..the parks are open late and that was a plus..we would enjoy the resort during the day and do the parks in the evening. Still hot..but without the sun. Makes a big difference.
Anyway, the last few trips have been during the last week of May..and there is an incredible difference between that and August. I'm assuming the first week of June would be somewhat similiar..perhaps a bit warmer. We really enjoy that time of year. Enjoy your trip.;)
