I would like Disney to take care of the resourses they currently have, and keep them up to Walts high standards!
Like:
1) a Web Site that WORKS! and is updated with current correct info. And have it so you can make ressies on it... and ... well you get the idea! Why they can animate figures, but can't keep a web site working with correct and updated info is a ? to me! come on they can make cartoon movies that allmost convince you they are real people... a web site they are trying to force people to use (AP booking rooms...etc.) should be a top piority! It isn't like they don't have CMs that can use a computer...right?
2) Keep it as clean as I remember it 5-10-15 years ago! I have noticed a lot more gum/black dirt marks each time we go. And some paint that is old and peeling. And even light bulbs that are burned out! The last trip I saw several light bulbs on Main Street the first night burned out... 11 nights latter they were still burned out! And there are some window displays in the stores at MK, MGM and DTD that have layers of dust on them! yuck!
3) rides that are maintained, see above.
4) more Kudos to all the CMs! I know several CMs and while not un happy... they are not what I would exspect from "The Happiest Place on Earth" ! I don't think they are getting the training, support and goodwill they have in the past....
5)Update/care of costumes/CMs uniforms... some are looking a little shabby! again, CMs do what they can... but fabric costs a lot of money, take care of it Disney!
6) enforce the rules that are posted! as in No Smoking except in the Smoking zone! No lude or really nasty clothing... kids that are to small to ride should NOT be allowed to ride.... you get the idea. And while this will not be popular with a lot of people, it will help to keep the standards of WDW high. I go out of my way to avoide the smoking spots. And I am tired of having smoke blown in my face when I am sitting and waiting for a parade/fireworks! And I have told CMs, who have tried to do something... the guests have sometimes complied, sometimes not. It has not been nice, or fun.
7) A little less emp. on grabbing our money, and more on putting on a good show! I mean, we all expect things to cost more, but come on! Some of the stuff is so overpriced for what you get! I don't mind a good tasting meal for $25 each, but come on!, I want to sit down to eat it! Not have it be over/under cooked hamburgers for 2 and no seats cause some one carted in a whole ice chest on wheels and now all 237 of them in their party are eating on tables reserved for the people that payed for the $25 hamburgers....
I love the parks, and they are nice to go to, but befor adding something new make what we have the very best it can be. Update Ecpot! I am fairly sure that there are other things that could be done in the different countries with not a multi billion dollar budget. And yes, I know that they have been doing a lot of rebuilding/painting at Ecpot... but I have not seen that the months of scapeling on Italy did anything other then make it look better. There still isn't a lot to do/see there, compaired to what could be there! And yes, the church in Norway is closed now, and who knows what will be there? The temple in Japan could be used. Some of Canada's building could be used. The whole Africe space could be redone, or moved to AK and replaced with ? Australia? Jamica? South America? India? The Middle East, Egypt?
sorry for the rant, and new rides are nice, but I miss some of the old "glow and Magic" that Walt added and has been missing for the last few years. And yep, I do have a PAP and go a few times a year.
Disneyland in Cal is also looking a little shabby, as is the new DCA already! Maybe more CMs? With some good training and bennies?
