This is just a thread I thought might get popular.

What is your dieas that you have crammed inside you head to make DIsney better?? Like, rides, restaurants, parks, shows, you name it. Stuff like that.

Here's mine.

I think that in the N.Y.C. streets they need to build an ampatheatre and have a showing of The West Side Story like they do with Beauty and the Beast.

And in the MK they need to make more wide open spaces, it just feels lil crowded sometimes, I guess you'll have that with all the crowds. I still enjoy goin to MK though, just a little cramped at times.

Cool Idea about the NYC streets! i would have never thought of something like that.

I would like to see changes to Animal Kingdom, like another land and definately more resturaunts, counter and table service. I really would like to see an Autralia themed land, the wildlife there is so different from what we see in the US and I think it would be great. Too bad our climate is all wrong for it. I'd also like to see more rides in AK. Don't have to be animal themed like the safari, but just a better variety. I know Everest is coming soon and that will be great, but there is so much space available at AK and I like to see something done with it.

I think in AK they should have more fast food places like mcdonalds because im one who doesn't like to try other foods and hate having to wait 20 mintues in McDonalds to get food because of the wait make more kid friendly food places would be my idea for AK and for MGM i think they should add another ride yea i know they just added LMA but its been the same rides for awhile and im getting bored don't have ideas on what kind of ride just add another one its kinda getting boring i think thats it

Yeah, AK is a little blah, and I do think they need to bring mroe rides in. The Australia thing is a great idea. I'm sure alot of peopel would get a kick out of seeing kangaroos.

I think that they need to leave alot of the land alone, it makes the park seem so wide and open. I really like how they've made the places where the animals roam look like their natualr homes, and that you can't see any fences or nothing. Alot of people call it a zoo, but I tell them itsnatuzu (it's not a zoo)

I think EE is gonna be awsome. I can't wait to ride it.

I think that AK should have a firework show like the rest of the parks do. It should be right behind Mt. Everest, the new ride. The fireworks could be acompanied by songs from The Lion King. And for the grand finale, red, oragne, and yellow fireworks shoot out of the top of Mt. Everest. Mt Everest isn't really a volcano, but it would stil be cool.

I think Disney needs to sort of stay away form fast food resaurants, it's a good idea to have some in the parks, but not too many.

I think they need to have a restaurant outside, but screened in and with a/c. It would sort of be like the AK Lodge. You would be eating, and looking out into the plains at the animals graising in the grass. And the food could be African and Asian style.

I wish they would move the hat at MGM. It's a nice icon, but it blocks the view of the Chinese Theatre as you go up the street from the entrance. It's really just a shop, why can't it go somewhere else?

Just one big, nasty, fast, wild rollercoaster for each park. Properly themed of course.

Disney has done so much to be the ultimate theme park, but they don't have any really good coasters. They should put themselves into the lead in that catagory, too. RnR, and SM are fun, and I'm sure that EE will be a little better, but nothing like Millenium Force at Cedar Point, or Batman or Superman at Six Flags.

I don't think that a fireworks show would be that good at AK. Between the early closes, and stress to the animals, it might not be the best choice, but I certainly understand the thought.

I wish they would update World Showcase. Everything has been the same for over 20 years. I know it isn't something that can happen over night but let's bring in some other countries like Ireland or Australia. Why not have a special time when you have a tribute to Alaska or Hawaii?

I have read where BG in Virginia actually will turn people away when the park starts to get to full. They do this so their customers can have a better time. I would like to see WDW do something like that. They have 4 parks for people to choose from as well as DTD and the water parks. There are other choices and still be able to stay on Disney property. I know this would make a lot of people mad but it would also make a lot of people feel like they are getting their money's worth. Nobody likes to pay $60 for a day that you stand in line for most of the day and may only ride 2 - 4 rides all day long because of the crowds. Just a thought. I know it won't ever happen but it is a thought.

I have read on another thread that originally there was a plan for Magical Beasts in AK. It would have lost of dragons and unicorns etc. I think that would have been great. I can see it with lots of glitter and magic

I also think they need a big roller coaster in each park to grab the 14-25 age group. Of course with lots of theming.

I like the roller coaster idea. I know there are rumors going around about a villians park which would be almost all thrill rides. I love that idea. I'm hoping the more Disney hears this rumor, maybe they will consider doing it.

I don't think a villains theme park would be appropriate for Disney... They're actually in the process of creating a Villains Theme Park creator for the PC, but not in real life. Not sure when that is scheduled to come out. Villains (and thrill rides for that matter) would scare little kids and that's not what Disney sets out to do...while they have to accommodate for every age group, they need to make sure that their parks are not geared to just one.

What I think they NEED to add is Australia to the Animal Kingdom. Australia is not mentioned anywhere in WDW and there are only a few measly kangaroos at AK. If they devote a land to Australia, they will be able to share more beauty with the world.

Also, I think they should create a Nightmare Before Christmas ride (a combination dark ride like in fantasyland/rollercoaster). They also need to add dark rides based on Beauty & The Beast, The Rescuers (flying of course), and ANYTHING based on Jungle Book and Robin Hood...there's nothing at this point that I know of.

Kangaroos and koala bears-how great.

Oooh. Nightmare Before Christmas. Love that idea. It's my fave.

They can't do fireworks at AK also because of the animals and the loud noises and also the Debris.

I would like to see an Emperors New Groove ride. Where you are on a roller coaster that is like going through Ismas lab..remember that part??
Minus ending up in their lab coats of course! haha

Yeah, your right. It never occured to me that it wopuld effect the animals.

Yea. I really like the Emeror's New Groove. They could make a really good ride with it. It should be in Adventureland at MK.

I klnow some one who works for the Disney Archives. He said the Villian Idea was completely made up, but not by the imagineers.

I like the NightMare before Christmas ride idea. It could be like the scene where Jack is flying in the sleigh.

I like the Jungle Book idea too. It could be a slow-pace, but entertaining ride.
Like outside in AK. That would be cool

HOw could you do a Robbin Hood themed ride?

I would like Disney to take care of the resourses they currently have, and keep them up to Walts high standards!
Like:
1) a Web Site that WORKS! and is updated with current correct info. And have it so you can make ressies on it... and ... well you get the idea! Why they can animate figures, but can't keep a web site working with correct and updated info is a ? to me! come on they can make cartoon movies that allmost convince you they are real people... a web site they are trying to force people to use (AP booking rooms...etc.) should be a top piority! It isn't like they don't have CMs that can use a computer...right?
2) Keep it as clean as I remember it 5-10-15 years ago! I have noticed a lot more gum/black dirt marks each time we go. And some paint that is old and peeling. And even light bulbs that are burned out! The last trip I saw several light bulbs on Main Street the first night burned out... 11 nights latter they were still burned out! And there are some window displays in the stores at MK, MGM and DTD that have layers of dust on them! yuck!
3) rides that are maintained, see above.
4) more Kudos to all the CMs! I know several CMs and while not un happy... they are not what I would exspect from "The Happiest Place on Earth" ! I don't think they are getting the training, support and goodwill they have in the past....
5)Update/care of costumes/CMs uniforms... some are looking a little shabby! again, CMs do what they can... but fabric costs a lot of money, take care of it Disney!
6) enforce the rules that are posted! as in No Smoking except in the Smoking zone! No lude or really nasty clothing... kids that are to small to ride should NOT be allowed to ride.... you get the idea. And while this will not be popular with a lot of people, it will help to keep the standards of WDW high. I go out of my way to avoide the smoking spots. And I am tired of having smoke blown in my face when I am sitting and waiting for a parade/fireworks! And I have told CMs, who have tried to do something... the guests have sometimes complied, sometimes not. It has not been nice, or fun.
7) A little less emp. on grabbing our money, and more on putting on a good show! I mean, we all expect things to cost more, but come on! Some of the stuff is so overpriced for what you get! I don't mind a good tasting meal for $25 each, but come on!, I want to sit down to eat it! Not have it be over/under cooked hamburgers for 2 and no seats cause some one carted in a whole ice chest on wheels and now all 237 of them in their party are eating on tables reserved for the people that payed for the $25 hamburgers....

I love the parks, and they are nice to go to, but befor adding something new make what we have the very best it can be. Update Ecpot! I am fairly sure that there are other things that could be done in the different countries with not a multi billion dollar budget. And yes, I know that they have been doing a lot of rebuilding/painting at Ecpot... but I have not seen that the months of scapeling on Italy did anything other then make it look better. There still isn't a lot to do/see there, compaired to what could be there! And yes, the church in Norway is closed now, and who knows what will be there? The temple in Japan could be used. Some of Canada's building could be used. The whole Africe space could be redone, or moved to AK and replaced with ? Australia? Jamica? South America? India? The Middle East, Egypt?

sorry for the rant, and new rides are nice, but I miss some of the old "glow and Magic" that Walt added and has been missing for the last few years. And yep, I do have a PAP and go a few times a year. Disneyland in Cal is also looking a little shabby, as is the new DCA already! Maybe more CMs? With some good training and bennies?

Hmmm, What can I say? You did have some good points, but....I know that there is a little bit of dust on the window diplays, but not LAYERS!! And, yeah the parks are little bit less clean than they were back When Walt and Roy were around, but I think Michael Isner is to blame for alot of these little problems. I was there not too long ago, I'm a frequent visitor, being a resident of W.V. i go there once or more every year, but any ways...I didn't notice all these little details you mentioned. But I do understand what you mean. I think that the countries are fine. I never get bored of them. I think that they may need to add a few things in countires like China, Japan, and Morroco, but other than that I think they are fine.

But they have been shutting down rides alot lately for refurbishing. The long time that IASW was closed paid off, it looked alot better than it did, so Disney is improving.

But any ways. this is Disney Ideas. Not Disney Complaints. But I do think it would be a good idea to start a thread like that, it would probably be very popular.

Unfotunately (sorry if that is spelled wrong) Disney ahs been lacking in the cleaning department. But like I said. I think MIchael Isner is to blame. Since Bob Iger is supposed to be taking his place sometime in October, I think that's when, Iger has a loving passion for Disney, how Michael was jsut in it for the money, and didn't really ahve a passion for Disney. I think Iger will do a great job improving Disney.

But let's get back to the cool ideas, like the shows and rides and everything, but I do think you had some good points. :)

I'd love to see aproper Indian restaurant in one of the parks (perhaps AK?) don't they know us Brits can't survive without a decent chicken tikka massala?? also would love to see a jungle book themed ride or show, and perhaps a Mary Poppins themed one where you can play amongst the chimneys. Don't think they've made the most of Alice in wonderland either as a film full of fantastic illusions surely they could get a ride or show going around this one
