Disney Gives Us the Warm Fuzzies - Take Two. TRIP REPORT HAS BEGUN! 1/20 Pg. 92

I would freak if I had to deal with snow. When booking connecting flights I try and avoid places like Denver and Chicago during the winter.

Other than TSM, I think you're okay. RnRC and ToT were the worst. I'm not sure but I think Indy Stunt Spectacular is closed due to the competition, but I don't see that on your list. I think you're all good.

I'm really doing my best to ignore the whole "I'm flying out in the middle of winter" thing. If not, I am going to worry so much all my hair falls out. I can tell you one thing....if snow is forecasted that day I'm calling out of work and camping out at the airport. :rotfl2:

I think we will be bypassing both ToT and RnRC so we are safe in that regards. And I'm not going to let anyone deter me from riding Toy Story Mania x's infinity. They'll just need to stay out of my way. :lmao:

I think your changes are great...and I am happy that you are flying out the night before! Good thinking!!
I made my flight reservations Wednesday for my May trip and I am flying out a day early too thanks to all of the enabling chatter and what a good idea it is! :lmao:
Love your idea for Marc for Christmas. I have 3 Earth boxes that are on my deck. I can't have a garden because of my pet deer. The Earth boxes are great because you can grow anything...tomatoes, broccoli, cucumbers, etc. Then I usually put some herbs--cilantro, parsley in pots. I remember reading that it is ideal for balconies and such because of space. There is nothing like growing fresh veggies! Just call me Farmer Tracy! :rotfl2:

Tracy

Wow LL, I am gone for 2 weeks and what changes!!!!! :goodvibes I am glad you were able to rebook your trip. I know how disappointing it is to have to cancel. I am trying to decide if I should keep our trip for next Nov. or if we should go earlier. I want to go earlier but I would love to see Disney at Christmas too.

I am able to read between calls at my new job so I picked up, The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. I loved it!!! Do you (or any one else) have any more book suggestions?

I too had no idea what to get Jon for Christmas and you gave me the best idea. I am going to get him a container garden as he would love to have a garden but we are to busy for one so this would be perfect. Thank you!!!! :worship:

Maybe I got it all wrong, maybe I need to warn the cheerleaders that you're coming..:)

Oh, after reading C's recounting of their late night Brown Derby ressie, I am all sorts of excited for you and the great pics you are going to get on the way out!!!

Woo hoo for finding the perfect gift for Marc! That's always fun! :goodvibes

I'm really happy too. I'm glad that I could enable you! :rotfl2:

I think he's really going to like it. We have a nice balcony so we grew some flowers this summer. I hope to grow more next summer.

Lots and lots of changes! I was just thinking about you today, wondering how your job was going.

Oh...I have so many book suggestions! :rotfl2: Here are just a few...

*Midwife on the Blue Ridge
*The Time Traveler's Wife
*The Kommandant's Girl (very good, set during WW2, there is a sequel called The Diplomat's Wife, both are great)
*East of the Sun
*Innocent Traitor
*The Lady Elizabeth

I think that is a good start. :rotfl2:

Which reminds me....I haven't decided on my trip book yet!

Maybe I got it all wrong, maybe I need to warn the cheerleaders that you're coming..:)
Yes, I think that would be wise. :snooty: What ages is this group? College? High School? Younger? Do you know? I mean, I need to know if I scream "O M G is that a Jonas Brother?! if that will clear out the line. ;)

I am so excited! I really can't wait. I was really happy when I stumbled across it today. I told my Mom and she thinks it's a great idea for him so that made me feel confident. :thumbsup2

CP, Have I told you about East of the Sun? I've been meaning to recommend it to you. It's about a woman who chaperons two younger ladies to India, one who is about to get married. It's a pretty good read! I thought of you while reading it.

Oh, I need to read that! It does sound like something I would absolutely love to read!!!

I should have sent it with those other ones!

I'm in a bit of a book rut, I was reading one "The Russian Concubine" and I got about half way through and just gave up. I'm reading a decent one now but I hate it when I can't finish a book even if it's awful like The Lace Reader. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I handed off A Poisoned Season and A Fatal Waltz to my mom yesterday -- she is a quick reader, so I should be able to send them both to you soon. I really liked both of them especially A Fatal Waltz which is set in Vienna during the Christmas season.

I think it's college...just change it to "O M G is that the guy from Twilight?" That should do the trick.

I can't wait to read them! I really need to get myself a library card. I don't know why I haven't gotten my butt over there yet. I need to do that! Have you started the books that I sent you yet? They are so good. I really hope you like them now that I have talked them up like crazy. :lmao:

Excellent, that was going to my second option. :rotfl2: I'll exclaim "O M G is that......fill in the blank" and then Jen will do the second part of, "IT IS. *GIRLY SQUEAL* That outta clear the Toy Story Mania line. :rotfl:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Be careful! Don't want to cause a stampede.

:lmao: A stampede will be well worth it! It makes me feel really old that the first person I thought of that would get me out of line is McDreamy from Grey's Anatomy. :rolleyes1
:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I'm trying to think of someone that would get me out of line....hmmm.....

eva mendes.....maybe

faith hill...

maybe someone I'd want to sit down and talk to...the President, Hillary, any former living President, the crazy dictator from North Korea....

My job is going great so far. I love that I can get paid for reading about half of my shift. :)

Which books did you send to CP? I remember you talking about them but I don't remember which ones they were. I love books set in WW2 so I will look for those. My friend just sent me a gift card for B&N so I have some book money to spend.

You know he is from Maine don't you LL? We raise them good up there. I would get out of line to have a chat with Johnny pirate: and also Walt.

Did you go see The Blind Side today? It took me about 1/2 the movie to realize that Tim McGraw played Sandra Bullock's husband in the movie. He looks so different without a cowboy hat on!

That is so awesome!

The ones I sent to CP are called....
A Catch of Consequence
Taking Liberties
The Sparks Fly Upward

It's a great series, I wish there were more books in it!
