Haven you actually gotten the 2.2% from Shopathome? The cash back guidelines would exclude gift cards, just wondering if it's actually working :thumbsup2

It's showing on my Shop At Home account now, but only at 1%.

We purchased 5 cards from Zen yesterday (about $1000 worth), one of the $200 gift cards was bad. Haven't yet had a chance to talk to them about it, will let you all know how well they handle it.

Yes, actually I had 2 cards for me and 1 on a friend's order that were redeemed. This was on a Saturday night, noticed it on Sunday morning after the sale went through. I submitted forms, emails, and phone calls. My friend submitted 1 contact form. On Monday they sent an email to both of us that they were working on it, Wednesday the refund was done for both of us. I was a psyco, she was calm. Same result :) (I have successfully bought from them since)

That is my biggest fear...having an issue with the gc. Although they seem to be taking care of it very well. I just purchased my first one through them. I just bought a $55.12 one because I am a wuss and want to start off slow. haha. I purchased it and got an email within two minutes with the card info. I immediately loaded it into my target app and it was there. So I am assuming that I should be good for Giftcardzen now. Now to purchase a disney gc.

Another question..I saw it in here but just to be sure. When you order disney gcs... I should check the balance as soon as I get it to make sure it's activated. If it isn't...Is Target easy to deal with?

Well...I had a hitch. Not a big one but I just got my red card yesterday and they gave me a temporary one. It has all the numbers starred out and when I actually read the receipt , it says I can only use it in the physical store. So i have to wait for my red card. Hopefully it doesn't take to long to come. I did notice when I was on Target's website that they have Landrys gift cards too. It just dawned on me that I can do the same thing with target gc and landrys. I guess you can pretty much do it with any gift card. It opens up a whole new world to me...lol

Yes, you should check the balance on any GC you order, especially from Target .com. I have never had a problem with unactivated cards, but there are a number of reports on here from people who have. And from all accounts, Target is frustrating to deal with when it happens.

Yep, it would be Target. I haven't had that happen yet but somewhere someone posted a phone number to call if it does. I ordered $1900 for someone else and they have yet to pick them up from me. I told them they need to check the balances so hopefully they will be ok (since it will be me that has to make that phone call...)

My question is not really gift card related but I’ll ask since we have so many savvy money savers here. When booking your Disney trip, what website gives you cashback? I usually book directly with Disney but the cashback sites I used only give cash back to purchases at Disneystore.com and not Disney park’s website.

I would send a contact form first. Was the card redeemed days prior to ordering it? If so, it should be an easy fix. That is what happened to me. That department doesn't work the weekend so I would say get that contact form in today so they can begin working on it!! I hounded them on the weekend and they could only tell me they were sending it to the loss prevention department.

I don't know of any other than Orbitz and things like that (not cash back though, just $ to spend with them later). I booked through Orbitz once and it was a pain because I didn't book my flight through them so I have to have Orbitz call Disney to get my Disney reservation number so I could set up My Magical Express myself. Then my bag tags didn't arrive until I rechecked back in with magical express 3 times (3 days before my trip I got them) also, that trip Disney could not set up charging to my room (not sure if booking through Orbitz was the problem). You can't use Disney GCs to pay them either. Sigh!!

Target sometimes runs sales on these. Otherwise it is still cheaper to buy from places like Costco.com I think. I am waiting on a sale :)

I purchased six yesterday and had one bad one. I combined the other five right away using the Target app and called Gift Card Zen on the bad one. I gave them the dollar amount and he was able to tell that digits were missing from the gc number. He sent a tech request to see if it could be paired up with the card and get a corrected number or he said if not theyd refund the purchase amount back to my debit card. Said it usually takes about 24 hours to get an answer from support. I'll update as soon as I hear back

Actually quite a bit more complex than I thought it would be, we had some hair pulling last night. Ended up having to put together a spreadsheet with all of the data to keep the information in one place, otherwise it is very easy to lose track, especially if you are making a high number of card purchases. If something goes wrong, or goes missing, you'll need it. Just for reference, we are looking for about $4000 in total cards.

Accidentally placed an order with my red card - will need go to target to return it. Another order went missing last night, spent an hour on the phone with target to try to figure out where it had gone missing. Never got a confirmation, and I couldn't see the order in history, but the gift cards were all showing used. There must have been some kind of glitch because they eventually found it an assured me it was on the way. Then the Zen card failed, and that put us over the edge. We put a pause on at $1,400 and will continue after we resolve the Zen issue.

The savings is good, but takes a considerable amount of time and effort to do it, and if you make one mistake, or have one gift card that fails on you, lost, unresolved dispute, you quickly evaporate almost all your savings.

We consider ourselves savvy deal-hunters online, so things like this are typical for us. But for a newbie, this can get frustrating very quickly. I wouldn't say this deal is for faint of heart, especially when you can get an easy, worry-free 5% using just the Red Card or Sams Club.

Good point! I totally forgot that crucial part!!!

Sorry you are having issues. I too keep a spreadsheet but mostly for keeping up with my savings. The orders I keep up with through email and watching my orders history online. Unfortunately, Target will probably not accept a return on your GC's. If you catch the order in time, they might be able to cancel your order.

After 5 days my Card Cash charge went from pending to taken off. Holy cow! Never again.
Mine are still pending as of this morning. 4 separate authorizations on the first card, which got suspended as a result of their crappy IT. Have yet to hear from their refund department. I'm with you, NEVER AGAIN!

So, it looks like Kroger is doing their usual Father's Day 4x fuel points promo. I got the email this morning. But I can't seem to find an expiration date. I'm hoping the store signage will have dates.

What would be some good gift cards to get at Kroger (instead of other discounted GC stores)?
