Disney Gift Card Deals

Sorry you are having issues. I too keep a spreadsheet but mostly for keeping up with my savings. The orders I keep up with through email and watching my orders history online. Unfortunately, Target will probably not accept a return on your GC's. If you catch the order in time, they might be able to cancel your order.

I think I'm going to create a spreadsheet. I'm adequate at Excel, but not completely proficient. Can you give any tips as to what columns you use or info you record? Any particular formulas outside of sums?

What would be some good gift cards to get at Kroger (instead of other discounted GC stores)?

I buy the Target gift cards there, so I see my savings in gas instead of directly on the gift card purchase at Raise, Cardpool, etc. Since we use a lot of gas, it works out to a larger savings for me. They also sell Amazon, Lowes, Home Depot + lots of restaurant cards. Your fuel points expire at the end of the next month + you are also earning fuel points of grocery purchases, so you have to do a little math to ensure you don't end up with more points than you can use.

So with all the issues with Card Cash, who are the best company's to go with? I tried Cardpool & since I will not them my real phone # they cancel my orders.

It depends on what you want to track. Mine is just thrown together right now. I don't have my personal laptop with me right now but I have a section for Target GCs. Where bought, value of card, cost of card, difference ($ discount), credit card rewards, other rebate rewards. I put the cards I received from Swagbucks, Ink Recycling (Staples), etc there too. I have another section for using Target Cards to buy Disney cards. How many cards, value, cost, difference, a column for ebates, topcash, etc. I am only a month and a half into this process so I haven't created a fabulous spreadsheet yet. I would like to include tracking my orders better but I watch my email, shipping info like a hawk (it is sometimes nice to work from home) so I haven't made it a priority yet. I just sum everything and use a calculator to figure my percent at the time (this is an easy formula to add I just haven't yet.) I am currently at 22.5% savings. I could have done much better but I was impatient at the beginning (and got nervous when Target shut us down for a few days, lol)

I think everyone has problems here or there with any of the companies. Unfortunately the people selling cards to them try to scam them. I think they all ask for a phone number but maybe if you create a google voice number (it's free) that forwards to your real number that will work? If it is requested in the billing section, you will have to put the phone number associated with your cc account though. I have used Gift Card Bin (but they are having issues with their site so are only distributing physical cards right now and are VERY SLOW). I have had no problems with Raise (everyone seems to have good service that has had an issue), and Gift Card Zen seems to have more problems with bad cards BUT they are the only ones that I can personally confirm stand behind their guarantee. I was really slow to try new companies. A complete skeptic, and psycho when a problem occurred but all problems seem to work out.

We are tracking two sides:

Gift card orders: Date, Vendor, Vendor Order Number, Gift Card Number and Pin, Purchase Price, Face Value, Amount Remaining (which will change), Discount%

Target Orders: Date, Order Number, Total Cards & Amounts, Order Total, Gift Card used and Amount Used from each card

What ends up happening is you start to use multiple gift cards on your orders, and the larger gift cards start to spread over multiple target orders. After our 5th Target order, it started to get messy with some orders portions of 3 gift cards.

With this, you can very quickly come up with your overall discount dollars and percentage savings.

Raise did not bother me for a phone # so I guess I will stay with them.

FYI Starbucks Groupons available but will probably sell out fast. I know this is not Discount Disney GC but it is a Discount for me at Disney!!

When I ordered about 10 gift cards from Raise within 2 consecutive days. They put my account on hold and said that I have to call and verify. They said it was standard procedure because I was purchasing too many GCs. I called, they asked questions about me that they pulled from public records (can be pretty detailed if you ask me). After that, my account was back to normal but I missed out on a few deals while my account was put on hold.

This did happen to me too. It only took minutes for me though.

Thanks for the info! All Cardpool had to do was email me & ask me to call them. They did not, just cancelled my order - twice. There is no phone # that I can see to call them.

Same thing happened to me because of my orders, however, while my account was on hold I kept placing orders. All were processed although I did have to eventually send them a picture of my drivers license since I bought so many so quickly.

We got flagged on Raise on the first order, they sent an email to call, asked a few questions, and seconds later got the confirmation in email. No big deal.

I've had more than one dud GC and Raise made it good on all of them. One GC (a Macy's card) was even past their 60-day guarantee but they refunded my money anyway. I think that one took a little while longer. I don't know whether it was a delay on Macy's side or Raise's. Most of them took 1-3 days to be resolved.
Thank you :) 1-3 feels reasonable, but not a week so I'm calling one last time before I escalate.

Thanks,
Heather

I was actually happy that they are concerned with scams, etc. The only problem I ever have with this process is that they always have 1 question that pertains to my ex husband and his wife. I warn them as I am answering it but I don't always get it right :)

Thanks for the tip! Go through shopathome.com to get 10% cash back!

I was too worried they would sell out to even go through eBates so I bought through the Groupon App. I snagged 2 by setting up an account for my daughter. Oh well. I am gonna have to look into shopathome!

I just want to make sure I get the whole thing right. You buy target gift cards at raise. the turn around and buy disney gift cards at target making sure you have your redcard listed as the way to pay and you get the additional 5% off.
